Temporary vehicle import to Morocco
A visa and a vehicle are different law: the person and the car are given their terms by different authorities, and those terms need not match.
- Maximum term
- 180
- How the term is counted
- per calendar year
- Carnet de Passages
- Not required
- Extension
- Not available
For light commercial vehicles (e.g. vans/pickups), the official page states 3 months in the same calendar year; camper vans are included with passenger vehicles at 6 months.
A vehicle that has stayed 6 months in Morocco may not benefit from the temporary admission regime during the same calendar year. [Quotation from the official site of the French embassy in Morocco (ma.diplomatie.gouv.fr) — an official source, but not a Moroccan one. The primary source is the ADII (douane.gov.ma, SECTION 04 "Means of transport", circular 5816/311): 6 months per calendar year, continuous or in parts, without extension; douane.gov.ma itself returns "URL rejected" and a direct quotation could not be obtained, hence medium confidence.]
