Copyright Information

We respect authors' rights and intellectual property.

Our Role as an Aggregator

OpenVan.camp operates as an information intermediary (news aggregator). Our service automatically indexes publicly available content — headlines, brief excerpts, and metadata — from third-party websites, and provides direct links back to the original publications. We do not reproduce, store, or distribute full articles or complete works of third parties.

This approach is consistent with established practices of news aggregation worldwide (such as Google News and similar platforms), which compile references to publicly available content for informational and navigational purposes.

The administration of the OpenVan.camp service (hereinafter — the Aggregator) respects the intellectual property of others and is ready to respond promptly to lawful requests from copyright holders.

Each news item on our site contains:

  • A headline and brief excerpt (not the full article)
  • A preview thumbnail image with source attribution
  • A direct link to the original publication on the source website

We do not store or reproduce full text of articles. All content is attributed to its source.

Use of Images

Images on our site are used exclusively as preview thumbnails to illustrate news content. We:

  • Process images through an image proxy service — source images are fetched, resized to thumbnail dimensions, and served via a third-party image processing service (wsrv.nl). Images are not permanently stored on our servers. We do not claim ownership of the original images.
  • Attribute the source — a copyright notice with the source name is displayed for each image
  • Use images for informational purposes only — solely for identification and navigation of news content, consistent with fair use / informational use principles
  • Promptly remove images upon a valid request from the copyright holder

Third-Party Content Disclaimer

OpenVan.camp is not responsible for examining or evaluating the accuracy, completeness, availability, timeliness, copyright compliance, legality, or quality of any third-party content indexed by our service. We do not endorse third-party websites or their content. Links to third-party sites are provided solely for informational and navigational purposes.

How to File a Complaint (DMCA / Takedown Notice)

To request removal of content, please send a written notice to:

[email protected]

Your notice must include:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work — a description of the specific work you claim has been infringed
  2. URL on our site — the specific URL(s) where the allegedly infringing material appears
  3. URL of the original content — link to the authorized version of the work (where applicable)
  4. Your contact information — full name or organization, email address, postal address
  5. Good faith statement — a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. Accuracy statement — a statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
  7. Nature of the request: complete removal of link and annotation / image removal / modification of title or description

Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe content was removed from our site in error, you may submit a counter-notification. A valid counter-notification must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the removed material and the URL where it appeared before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, phone number, and consent to jurisdiction of an appropriate court

Counter-notifications should be sent to: [email protected]

Response Timeline

We process incoming requests on a priority basis:

  • Images: removed within 24 hours of receiving a valid request
  • Text content / links: reviewed within 48 hours
  • In urgent cases, we strive to respond faster

Automatic Attribution

Our service automatically:

  • Credits the source name and domain for each news item
  • Provides direct links to original publications
  • Displays copyright attribution under images
  • Directs traffic to source websites through links

Automatic Translations and AI Processing

News headlines and descriptions may be translated, summarized, or clustered using artificial intelligence technologies. Such automated processing may contain inaccuracies and may not perfectly reflect the nuance or intent of the original content. AI processing is used solely for indexing and navigational purposes. For authoritative information, always refer to the original source via the link provided.
