A meetup of camper owners organised by the national association JRL is being held on the 10th and 11th in Namie, Fukushima Prefecture, around the Fukushima Ikoi-no-Mura Namie complex. About 30 campers have gathered. The event is taking place in Fukushima Prefecture.
Volkswagen has revealed the 2027 Grand California in the UK. Based on the Crafter, it comes in 600 (5.98 m) and 680 (6.80 m) versions with kitchen, fixed bed and bathroom with shower and toilet. A new off-grid package adds a solar panel and two 40Ah lithium iron phosphate batteries, increasing usable capacity by 40%. The package costs £1,450 excluding VAT. A Dune special edition with black bumpers and 17-inch black wheels is also available. Prices excluding VAT start at £68,960 for the 600 and £69,960 for the Dune.
German publication Promobil has published a test of the Sprite Cruzer 540 SR caravan. The model features a three-part front window spanning the full width, a panoramic window in the roof curve and side windows that create an airy lounge area. A second feature is a full-width bathroom with a central washbasin positioned outside, in front of the Queensbed. Standard equipment includes a combi heating system, audio system, gas oven and microwave. The review notes high noseweight and furniture construction that is visually plain in places.

Carabinieri in Lugo arrested two Romanian nationals, aged 22 and 21, on suspicion of attempted money laundering. They allegedly bought a motorhome in Turin for 58,000 euros using a forged bank transfer receipt. The 62-year-old owner from Turin discovered the fraud and found his motorhome listed for sale at a new price. The Renault Font Vendome Master Van was seized and returned to its rightful owner.
