Frequently asked questions about currency exchange

Exchange rates are updated hourly from multiple reliable sources including the European Central Bank (ECB) and other open APIs. You can manually refresh rates using the update button.
For traveling in Turkey, it's recommended to have EUR or USD. Turkish lira (TRY) has high volatility, so it's better to exchange money as needed. Cards from international payment systems work in most tourist places.
The best rates are usually at banks and official exchange offices. Avoid exchanging money at airports and hotels — rates there are typically 5-15% worse. Also consider using cards with no foreign transaction fees.
Enter your travel budget in your home currency, then compare with the local currency of your destination. Remember that actual exchange rates may differ from market rates due to bank fees and exchange office margins.
