Temporary vehicle import to Singapore

A visa and a vehicle are different law: the person and the car are given their terms by different authorities, and those terms need not match.

This CPD-based allowance is for touring purposes; Singapore Customs also states armoured vehicles, camper vans, caravan trailers and mini buses with cooking and sleeping facilities are not allowed.

The vehicle will be allowed to be temporarily imported into Singapore for a period of 1 year from the date of issuance to the Carnet holder, or up to 1 day before the CPD’s validity date.
