Film 'Morocco: Vanlife Version' presented at ALTAÏR conference

At the ALTAÏR conference, the documentary film 'Morocco: Vanlife Version' by Marc Temmerman was announced. Shot in 2025, the film follows a campervan journey from Belgium through Tangier, Tetouan, Chefchaouen, Fez, Azrou, the Atlas Mountains, Ouarzazate, Taliouine, Tafraoute, Imsouane, Essaouira, and the Sahara to Dakhla. French retirees travel by motorhome to Morocco due to lower cost of living

French retirees Thérèse-Marie and Gilles spend several months each year in Morocco in their motorhome. Their combined pension is 2,000 euros per month. According to TF1, they drove 2,800 km in 29 hours from Brest to the Agadir region. They spent 403 euros on fuel over the year at about 1 euro per litre. Around 60,000 French retirees now live permanently in Morocco.

Morocco by Camper Van: Cinema Conference in Saint-Eustache

On May 19 at 7:30 PM, the Zénith Promutuel Assurance de Saint-Eustache (Canada) will host the 6th cinema conference of the Grand Explorateurs season, focusing on a camper van journey through Morocco. Hankook tires perform well in solidarity caravan 'El Desierto de los Niños 2026'

Hankook reported the participation of its Dynapro AT2 tires in the 20th edition of the 'El Desierto de los Niños' charitable caravan in Morocco. The tires were fitted on 18 Hyundai vehicles, including Santa Fe, Kona, Tucson, and IONIQ 9 models. Organizers highlighted excellent off-road performance and durability in heavy rain and washed-out roads. The caravan also delivered educational and sports equipment to local communities.

First campervan raid in Morocco concludes, second edition in 2027

Return from the 4L Trophy in Morocco... without their 4L

Students Alexandre Brillant and Julien Bance from Avrechy, France, participated in the 2026 4L Trophy rally, driving through Spain and the Moroccan desert in a Renault 4L. During the trip, they faced breakdowns, including replacing shock absorbers and a spark plug failure, as well as the cancellation of the official start due to Storm Pedro. On the return journey in Spain, the head gasket blew, and the car had to be left behind; the students flew back. They plan to arrange the car's return, as they want to keep it as a collector's vehicle.

Organized Motorhome Raid to Morocco for Easter 2026

The tour operator Camper Desert Raid CamperCover is organizing a group raid to Morocco for motorhomes, caravans, and campers for Easter 2026. The approximately 1,700 km route starts on March 28 from Algeciras and lasts 9 days, including visits to Fez, the Merzouga desert, and other landmarks. Participants travel independently but with guide support, logistics, and overnight stays in campsites. The price starts at 975 euros per person, and places are limited.
