Temporary vehicle import to Finland
A visa and a vehicle are different law: the person and the car are given their terms by different authorities, and those terms need not match.
- Maximum term
- 180
- How the term is counted

Finnish Customs’ temporary-admission page gives a general rule for means of transport, but it does not state a fixed tourist allowance for a foreign-registered private car/campervan. It says the vehicle must leave without delay once transport tasks are done, and Customs may set a shorter time limit case by case.
Article 217 of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/2446: for road means of transport for private use — 6 months; the time-limits run "from the time the goods are placed under the procedure" (i.e. counted from each placement under the procedure, not a rolling window).
