The official customs statute provides a 3-month temporary-use rule for goods generally, but the search results do not show a vehicle-specific tourist temporary import page or whether a Carnet is accepted/required for private vehicles.

"(d) Time delay period for temporary Import must not exceed 3 months or 90 days. (e) If the Importer/Warehouse owner requires an extension of the prescribed period he/she must apply in writing to the Comptroller of Customs." / "3.2 TEMPORARY IMPORTATION (a) Persons may import Machinery, Equipment or other goods to be used temporarily into Barbados and then they can be re-exported. ... (c) A deposit to secure the necessary duties may be required and one and a half times the duty payable must be paid." — Barbados Customs (ASYCUDA) Suspense Procedures SOP. The rule is official but written for goods in general; no separate procedure for a foreign-plated tourist vehicle was found in published Barbados Customs documents, hence applies_to=unclear and medium confidence. There is no official confirmation regarding the Carnet de Passages (secondary sources claim Barbados does not accept the carnet and requires a local bank guarantee), so carnet_required was left empty.
