Tourist temporary entry of foreign private vehicles is limited to "no more than three months" and is linked to the endorsed entry approval and the driver’s permitted stay. Plates and permits cannot be extended. Official GACC rules on temporary import of goods allow up to 6 months with extensions, but those are for general goods, not the specific tourist-vehicle regime.

The validity period of temporary entry motor vehicle license plates and driving permits must match the period endorsed on the entry approval document, not exceeding three months, and cannot be extended.
