Decree 30/2024/ND-CP covers foreign-registered road motor vehicles temporarily imported for tourism by foreigners; stay is capped at 45 days per entry, and in practice you must also export the vehicle before your own visa/visa‑exemption period ends. No Carnet de Passages is mentioned or required; customs uses its own temporary import/re-export declaration.

The time limit for vehicle use in Vietnamese traffic is up to 45 days. In case of force majeure, vehicles may be allowed to stay in Vietnam for no more than 10 days
