Temporary vehicle import to Bahrain
A visa and a vehicle are different law: the person and the car are given their terms by different authorities, and those terms need not match.
- Maximum term
- 180
- How the term is counted
- per entry
- Carnet de Passages
- Required
- Extension
- Possible
The customs page’s six-month rule is the general temporary-admission limit; Bahrain’s bylaw for tourist vehicles says 6 months with an international passage carnet, or 3 months without one, extendable once for a similar period if security is provided.
The period of temporary admission should not exceed six months (180 days), which can be extended for similar periods and a maximum of one year (365 days) only for the cases mentioned below.
