Temporary vehicle import to Senegal
A visa and a vehicle are different law: the person and the car are given their terms by different authorities, and those terms need not match.
- Maximum term
- 10
- How the term is counted
- per entry
- Carnet de Passages
- Not required
- Extension
- Possible
For a tourist/private vehicle, the customs page says a Carnet de Passage (A.T.A) is optional; the vehicle may also enter under a passavant. The same page mentions a separate six-month temporary import regime in some conditions for one vehicle or yacht, but the vehicle-of-tourism rule gives 10 days plus two 15-day extensions.
The pass (passavant) is then issued by the customs office or post of entry, for a period not exceeding ten (10) days.
