Temporary vehicle import to Namibia
A visa and a vehicle are different law: the person and the car are given their terms by different authorities, and those terms need not match.

No different vehicle-weight rule was found in the customs permit itself; the permit is for temporary visits and is valid only for the duration of the visit.
A TIP is a legal document that allows motor vehicles with foreign number plates to be imported or driven in Namibia for a temporary period usually not exceeding ninety days; since 23 January 2023 all travellers from non-SACU member countries importing or driving a motor vehicle bearing a foreign registration number plate into Namibia are required to complete a Temporary Import Permit (form NA307), bona fide tourists included.
