Temporary vehicle import to Bahamas
A visa and a vehicle are different law: the person and the car are given their terms by different authorities, and those terms need not match.

The customs page found is a general temporary-import page and does not specify a tourist vehicle time limit or whether it restarts per entry, nor does it mention Carnet de Passages for private vehicles.
Customs Management Regulations, 2013 (reg. 88): "Motor cars, motor cycles, and pleasure vessels intended for temporary importation ... (a) shall be imported by, and for the use of, a person — (i) not ordinarily resident in The Bahamas ... (c) shall be subject to application for temporary importation being made by the importer ... on Form No. C41 and, at the election of the Customs authority — (i) ... payment of a deposit of a sum equal to the duty on the imported article; or (ii) provision of a bond on Form No. CB7 ... (e) ... shall be exported ... within six months of the date of importation or, if the imported article is a pleasure vessel, within twelve months of such date." Extension is provided only for pleasure vessels (para. 3), not for motor cars. No Carnet de Passages: deposit or CB7 bond instead.
