Temporary vehicle import to Guyana
A visa and a vehicle are different law: the person and the car are given their terms by different authorities, and those terms need not match.
- Maximum term
- 90
- How the term is counted
- per entry
- Carnet de Passages
- Not required
- Extension
- Possible
Customs Act s.38(a) requires temporarily imported goods (including vehicles) to be exported within three months (≈90 days) of permission. This is a general rule; GRA does not publish a tourist-specific vehicle TIP page. A new temporary import permission would apply per entry if customs agrees. Carnet de Passages is not required by law but may be accepted as security.
"such goods shall be exported within three months of the date of such permission" (temporary import without payment of duty).
