The customs page cited in the search results gives a 6-month rule for other private road vehicles, but that appears to apply to certain non-tourist cases; for tourists, the stay is tied to the permitted reason/stay and the vehicle should be re-exported when that ends.
Statement of the Serbian rule on the Paragraf legal portal (citing the Regulation on customs-permitted treatment, Articles 323–328): foreigners and persons temporarily staying abroad may enter Serbia in a car with foreign plates and use it during their stay; such vehicles may remain in the territory of Serbia, with or without interruptions, for six months within each 12 months. The verbatim wording could not be obtained from the customs site (carina.rs) — the PDF does not parse and the "Putnici" HTML page returns 404, hence not high confidence.
