Temporary vehicle import to Jordan

A visa and a vehicle are different law: the person and the car are given their terms by different authorities, and those terms need not match.

The official FAQ also says vehicles guaranteed by a trip-tiquet (Carnet de Passages) get six months directly; without it, the allowance is three months plus a possible 3-month extension.

Foreign vehicles of Jordanians, Arabs and foreigners ... are given temporary entry ... three month sojourn, which may be extended for another three months by the Department.
