Serbia has approximately 40 registered motorhome campsites, three of which are located in Bela Crkva — two at Vračevgaj Lake and one at Glavno Lake. The town in southern Banat offers a total of 184 well-equipped campsite pitches, making it one of the main centres for camping tourism in Vojvodina. In late September, the Oaza campsite hosted an international gathering of more than 40 motorhome crews from former Yugoslav countries, as well as from Sweden, Germany and Ukraine.

Open camper days are being held in Ruma, Serbia, from 25 to 27 September 2026. About 30 vehicles are on display at the Andrić Company site at Industrijska 88.

Nikola Borić and Zorana sold their house and land in Papuk and have been living in a camper without a permanent address for a hundred days. Costs halved, but they face an excess of free time.

Campers who have stayed for years on the peninsula near Apatin propose a systematic redevelopment: more waste containers and clear conditions for camper trailers to remain. About one hundred camper trailers are currently on the peninsula, with roughly 30% of owners from Apatin and the rest from Sombor, Subotica and other parts of Vojvodina. According to Zoran Knežević, a single container at the entrance is insufficient, and parts of the area are not regularly maintained. Proposed solutions include sand refilling to raise the terrain, a central path from "Plava Ruža" to the tip, and division into plots with mandatory maintenance; campers say they are willing to pay a fee, lease or bid for space if clear rules are established. The 29-hectare peninsula is owned by the Provincial Government, while "Vojvodinašume" manages only the forest, not the land.

The Zlatibor campsite has reopened for the spring season. In April and during the May Day holidays it hosted individual tourists, while the first organised group — motorhomes from the Dutch association ACSI — arrived on 5 May. Nine group arrivals are already booked for the season, including clubs from the Netherlands and Slovenia, among them the Twentse Caravan Club, which is visiting Zlatibor for the first time. Located along the Belgrade–Montenegrin coast highway and near the tourist centre, the campsite offers 60 pitches on two hectares and holds a three-star rating.

The Vrele Gume team traveled 11,237 km by motorhome through 15 countries, from Serbia to the Sahara and Scandinavia, and calculated the costs. Renting a motorhome costs €100–160 per day, campsites range from €15 in Morocco to over €100 in Croatia, and diesel and tolls can add up to €300 per day for two people. The authors note that Germany has a well-developed Stellplatz network, while Serbia lacks motorhome infrastructure.

The expo caravan is traveling through Serbia, stopping in Knjaževac on the first day of the weekend and in Sokobanja on Sunday.

A French engineer named Rémi spent about eight months converting a used Renault Trafic into a camper for travel. The total cost, including the van, was approximately €20,000. The interior features a bench, a kitchen area with a pull-out shower and a fridge, and solar panels on the roof. Nearly a month was spent removing tile adhesive left by the previous owner.

Nenad Milovanović, a truck driver for 34 years, sold his apartment and has been living in a camper for four months, traveling Serbia and making items from natural materials.

On the morning of July 24, a camper with Belgrade plates struck a 75-year-old woman on a crosswalk in Ivanjica. The victim was hospitalized; the driver was detained.

One person died in a fire in a camper (travel trailer) in Mučići, Brodarice area near Šibenik. The fire broke out around 14:35 and was contained by 16:30. The cause of the fire and the victim's identity are under police investigation.

The Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs of Serbia allocated over 14 million dinars for a mobile support programme for persons with disabilities. Of this amount, 8.5 million dinars were used to purchase a camper that will travel across the country, providing assistance in remote areas. Minister Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski announced the start of operations of the mobile camper of the association 'Zvuci srca Srbija' in Pančevo.

Balkan manufacturer Hip 4Family has introduced a motorhome based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a unique two-zone layout. The model features two separate living areas, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a 2,780-liter luggage compartment. Base autonomy is provided by a 100 Ah battery, expandable to 600 Ah with 840 W solar panels. The motorhome is priced at 150,000 euros.

A TikTok user known as brica.kamperica converted a Fiat 500 into a mini camper van and set off from Serbia to Portugal. The route covers 10 countries over 60 days. The vehicle is equipped with a 30-liter water tank, a battery-powered shower, and a foldable bed.

Volkswagen has unveiled refreshed versions of the Multivan and California models. Changes include a redesigned front end with LED headlights, new grille, and fresh paint options. Inside, a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, revised digital instruments, and a steering column-mounted DSG selector are featured. Wireless charging now delivers 25 W, and USB-C ports provide 60 W. Travel Assist can now recognize traffic lights and supports lane change assist. Engine options include a 2.0 TDI diesel (150 hp), 2.0 TSI petrol (204 hp), and eHybrid 4Motion plug-in hybrid (245 hp). The California Beach starts at €66,087.

Lynk & Co has unveiled the 07 GT estate with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The model uses the brand's EM-P system with a 1.5-liter turbo engine and all-wheel drive. It features unique bumpers, roof rails, and a large spoiler on the tailgate.

The 15th international meeting of vintage car owners was held at Lake Palić. About 80 vehicles from Serbia and the region, including historic cars from Slovenia, Austria, and Germany, lined the lake shore. The oldest participant was a 1929 Ford A, which drove from Budapest under its own power.

A classic car exhibition is taking place in Subotica on June 7. The 15th international meeting of vintage car owners was held at Palić, featuring about 80 vehicles from Serbia and the region. Exhibits include a 1929 Ford A from Hungary, a 1979 police car from Slovenia, and a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle from Bosnia and Herzegovina. From 10:00 to 13:00, the caravan will move to the city center near Plava Fontana.

From June 3 to 5, Zlatibor hosted the 6th International Tourist Retro Rally 'Friendship Rally'. A vintage car exhibition was held on the Royal Square.

Based on discussions among experienced campers, a list of five devices that enhance safety and comfort outdoors has been compiled. It includes a headlamp, a portable insect repellent, an electric pump for inflatable gear, a water filtration system, and a satellite communicator.
