At Caravan Salon 2026, Lidu RV unveiled a revised interior for its Lidu Aquila 360 pop-up caravan. The design, by a leading European studio, features a cubist-minimalist style with beige and dark ochre upholstery, sun-yellow accent cushions, and dark wood fronts. The kitchen includes an induction hob, small fridge, and sink, plus a pull-out module for an outdoor gas cooker. A compartment for a mobile toilet replaces a traditional bathroom. The electric pop-up roof raises height from 2,245 mm to 2,745 mm. Dimensions: length 5,235 mm, width 2,190 mm, kerb weight 1,230 kg. The body is a steel-aluminium hybrid with 80% aluminium. Four exterior colours are offered: First Light Gold, Pale Bay Blue, Morning Mist Green, and Verdant Field Green.

At its September 7, 2026 autumn product conference, Xiaomi launched the SkyNomad N90 Max lineup, a large extended-range SUV featuring a factory-built electric pop-up roof and a one-touch camping bed. The Explorer Edition folds its second-row bench into a 1.87m by 1.24m mattress in 30 seconds, while the raised roof creates a two-level cabin with 2,294mm of standing height. The standard seven-seat N90 Max starts at 269,900 yuan, and the five-seat Explorer Edition is priced at 299,900 yuan. Both share an extended-range powertrain with 464km of electric range and 1,705km combined. Deliveries in China are expected in November or December 2026; European availability is under consideration for next year.

At the Wuhan motorhome show on October 10, Xiaomi unveiled the Pengcheng N90. The base version is priced from 209,900 yuan, while the Exploration version with an electric pop-top roof costs 299,900 yuan. The vehicle features a factory-integrated bunk bed design: when parked, the roof raises to provide a 2.29 m interior height, with a 2.1 m² sleeping area above. It measures 5285 mm long with a 3080 mm wheelbase. The powertrain combines a 1.5T range extender, dual motors and all-wheel drive, with a 76 kWh battery offering 464 km of electric range and 1705 km combined. Standard equipment includes air suspension, adaptive dampers, dual lidar and an Nvidia Thor chip for advanced driver assistance.

Lishu County in Jilin Province has opened a motorhome campsite in Nanhe Park, offering over 1,000 free parking spaces. The campsite provides free water, charging stations, 24-hour toilets, showers, a laundry, and a mother-and-baby room. Weekly outdoor film screenings and intangible cultural heritage events, including errenzhuan performances, are held. Tour routes combining motorhome stays with visits to the Lishu Museum and the Black Soil Museum have been developed.

On September 9, the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), co-hosted by UNCTAD, WIPO, China's Ministry of Commerce and the Beijing municipal government, opened at Shougang Park in Beijing. Huatie Fengtu displayed a Dachi Iveco motorhome with a side slide-out in the outdoor area of Hall 9 and announced rental rates from 399 yuan per day on weekdays in September, plus five-day packages for the Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays. The company operates a direct-sales model with headquarters in Hangzhou and a Beijing service center in Shunyi; users with a Sesame Credit score of 700 or above can rent without a deposit.

33-year-old Xu Song from Guizhou converted a used camper into a mobile barbershop and drove about 2,600 km along G318 in a month, earning over 6,000 yuan from haircuts.
