Bahrain's Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture, together with the Southern Governorate, launched an e-service for the deposit and refund of the security deposit for non-commercial camping (Al-Bar season). Processing time is reduced to instant, and the number of steps to three.
The Governor of the Southern Governorate, Sheikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, ordered the extension of the camping season until March 15, 2013, following requests from campers and business owners. Authorities urged participants to avoid leaving waste and to vacate sites on time to allow Tatweer company to carry out works that may produce noise and gases.
