Spanish manufacturer Benimar has officially launched its 2027 collection. Dethleffs has introduced the updated Globetrail Active campervan line, built on Citroën Jumper or Fiat Ducato chassis. It is available in three body lengths (5.40 m, 5.99 m, 6.36 m) with multiple interior layouts. Starting price is €55,390; standard equipment includes 16-inch alloy wheels, leather steering wheel, air conditioning, 84 L fridge, 4 kW heater, and a 10-year water ingress warranty.
The Fiat Ducato and its siblings (Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Jumper, Opel Movano) form the base of 90% of campers on European campsites, but their cabs were originally designed as workspaces for builders and couriers. Accessory manufacturers such as Reimo, AGLO, and Caratec offer solutions to address shortcomings: cup holders, phone mounts, ergonomic cushions, insulated floor mats, and wireless chargers. Installing a narrow compressor fridge between the front seats allows storing drinks and snacks without leaving the cab.
