Nissan has introduced the MyRoom version of the NV200 Vanette, a compact camper measuring 4400 mm in length, designed for urban use and occasional trips. The wood-trimmed interior transforms: the rear bench converts into a bed sized for occupants up to 184 cm, while a slide-out table and chairs create a seating area for four. A 953 mm interior height provides storage space beneath the bed; three power outlets and an external power supply are standard. The model is positioned as an alternative to the larger Nissan Caravan, aimed at couples and solo travellers.
The author, who has owned motorhomes nearly seven metres long, reviewed the Weinsberg CaraBus 600 DQ Edition FIRE camper, which measures 5.99 metres. The model is built on a 3.5-tonne Fiat Ducato with a 2.2-litre 140 hp diesel engine and a six-speed manual gearbox. Dimensions are 2.05 metres wide and 2.82 metres high. Inside, there is a rear transverse bed (194 x 152/140 cm) and a front elevating bed (176 x 130 cm), a bathroom with a rotating Thetford cassette toilet, washbasin and shower, and a kitchen with two burners, a sink and a 95-litre compressor fridge with a 12.8-litre freezer. Fresh water tank capacity is 102 litres, grey water 90 litres. The manufacturer homologates up to five sleeping places, but for a family of four the two main beds are the logical choice. There are four homologated travel seats and ISOFIX for two child seats. The running order mass is 2,880 kg, maximum authorised weight 3,500 kg, and standard payload up to 115 kg.
Promobil has published an overview of mini caravans weighing up to 750 kg and slightly above, equipped with outdoor kitchens. The selection includes models currently available for order, among them the Caretta 1500 with a rear kitchen under a pop-up fiberglass hatch, a stainless steel work surface, and a 40-liter cooler on a pull-out tray in the 2024 model.

Fendt has unveiled the Tendenza 560 SFDW caravan for the 2027 model year. Measuring 772×250 cm and weighing 1545 kg, it offers four berths, standard ALDE water heating with floor warming, and a 157-litre compressor fridge. The base price starts at €44,470 including VAT.
The Swedish-made Kabe Brilliant 470 XL caravan is rated for temperatures from −35° to +35° and has a maximum mass of 1700 kg, requiring a BE driving licence for towing. It offers four berths, a French bed measuring 1.4 by 1.95 metres, a dining area with a convertible table, a kitchen with three gas burners and a 122-litre fridge, plus a heated compartment for drying skis and wet gear. The new caravan is priced at 8,100,000 rubles.

Bontrager Outdoors has introduced the Standard 17FD, a teardrop-style travel trailer. The model sleeps four, measures 5.5 meters in length, weighs 989 kg empty, and has a payload capacity of 511 kg. Standard features include a Truma Combi system, a 12V fridge, an air conditioner, and an outdoor shower. The 2026 model is priced between $15,000 and $17,000.
The Pemberton Elite is the only model in the Pemberton range built to EN 1647 holiday caravan standard; all others are built to residential standard. Buyers can upgrade an Elite to residential specification BS 3632, which includes enhanced insulation and soundproofing. The caravan is available in nine sizes, from 28ft x 12ft to 42ft x 14ft, with three models having three bedrooms. Prices start from £58,995. The review model is a 38ft x 12ft two-bedroom unit sleeping six, including a sofa bed.
Auto Express and Caravan and Motorhome Club tested 42 new cars with caravans at Millbrook Proving Ground in the UK. The overall winner was the Skoda Superb Estate with a 193 hp 2.0-litre diesel, all-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The BMW iX3 was the best electric car and won the heaviest caravan class over two tonnes. The Volvo XC60 T6 was the best plug-in hybrid, the Volvo XC90 T8 the best large family car, and the Volvo XC40 won the 1,400–1,500 kg caravan class. The Volkswagen Touareg won the 1,800–1,900 kg class. Tests assessed stability with a trailer, acceleration, braking, hill starts, low-speed manoeuvring, visibility and load space.
Promobil tested a Mercedes V300d towing a Hobby De Luxe 460 UFe caravan on a trip from Stuttgart to South Tyrol. The journey to Caravan Park Sexten took eight hours due to a traffic jam on the Fernpass. The 237 hp all-wheel-drive vehicle towed a caravan weighing around 1,300 kg; average fuel consumption was just over 10 l/100 km while driving at 105 km/h on German motorways and crossing the Fernpass and Brenner passes. The lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control were noted to work accurately with the trailer.

Malibu is promoting its new Relax 640 LE R camper van based on the Fiat Ducato with a starting price of €57,200, but this price does not include a mandatory equipment package. With one of three packages (Active, Ambition or Exclusive), the minimum price is €65,040. In the base Active configuration, the vehicle comes in white with a 140 hp engine and manual transmission.

A new camper from the Black Forest has been presented: length under six metres, kerb weight just under three tonnes. Equipment includes a shower, induction hob, diesel heater and solar panel.
IMTEST tested five compact camper vans measuring between 5.40 and 6 metres at a campsite in northern Germany. The models included the Forster Livin' Up V 599 VBL, Hymer Free 600, Sunlight Cliff 540 RT Adventure Edition, Volkswagen Grand California 600 and Weinsberg CaraTour 600 ME. The test assessed equipment and connectivity, driving and safety, as well as living and sleeping areas. Prices for new camper vans start at around 45,000 euros, while models such as the Volkswagen California 6.1 can reach 100,000 euros.
Canadian manufacturer Kamparoo Campers offers the Trans-Continental pop-up travel trailer, which remains popular among owners for its simplicity and reliability. A new unit costs $14,400 Canadian dollars (approximately $10,300 USD at the time of publication). The trailer weighs 381 kg, sleeps two, and can be expanded with a tent annex. Some owners have used it for over eight years, confirming its durability.
Citroën has launched the Holidays camper van with a starting price of €53,790. The vehicle is under 5 meters long, sleeps four, and features a removable kitchen and a roof-mounted solar panel. It is positioned as one of the most affordable factory camper vans on the market.
Volkswagen has revised its Grand California camper based on the Crafter for the 2026 model year. Changes include a single-leg table that can also be used outdoors, wood-effect tabletop, revised handles, and an onboard computer showing fresh water, grey water and second battery status. The toilet now has standard extraction ventilation. Dimensions (5.99 x 2.04 x 2.97 m) and shape are unchanged. Base price is 83,508 euros; test vehicle price is 90,228 euros.
A 1989 Bischofberger Family Hochdach motorhome built on a Volkswagen Caddy chassis is listed for sale on Bring a Trailer. It features a 1.9-liter AAZ turbodiesel engine producing 75 hp and a five-speed manual transmission. The motorhome is approximately 15.5 feet long and weighs around 2,860 pounds. Only about 40 such motorhomes were built, making it rare. When new, it had a starting price of around 10,000 pounds.
Mooveo has introduced the All-in-One Full Alko trim for its fully integrated motorhomes. The INT-78 QBF Alko model, built on an Alko chassis, features a 300 Ah lithium battery, two 200 W solar panels and a 2000 W inverter. Pricing starts at €110,362; options such as a 4G router (€1,200) and awning with bike rack (€1,500) cost extra.
Elektroauto-News has published a review of a fully equipped electric camper based on the Volkswagen ID. Buzz, provided by Dutch company Outbase Campervans. The test drive took place in the Netherlands, covering 220 km between Utrecht and the North Sea coast. The ID. Buzz has a WLTP range of up to 458 km, while Outbase claims up to 500 km in real-world conditions; charging the 79 kWh battery from 10 to 80% takes 26 minutes. The Delta conversion includes an electric pop-up roof, two sleeping areas for four people, swiveling front seats, a pull-out kitchen with an induction hob and a 10-liter fresh water tank, plus a 5-liter grey water tank. Storage volume is stated at 1000 liters. The review notes drawbacks: small water tank capacities and the absence of a lid on the grey water tank.
Auto Express and the Caravan and Motorhome Club have named the Skoda Superb Estate as the overall Towcar of the Year 2026. The tests took place at UTAC Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire, with 42 entries ranging from superminis to pick-up trucks and luxury SUVs, powered by petrol, diesel, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and all-electric drivetrains. Winners were awarded in six classes and eight towing weights; the BMW iX3 won best electric tow car and the Volvo XC60 best plug-in hybrid.
Promobil magazine conducted a comparative test of eight lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries designed for under-seat installation in motorhomes based on the Fiat Ducato. The tested models had capacities ranging from 200 to 350 Ah. The tHEnergy Bat Pro 325 US won with 80 out of 100 points and a 'very good' rating; its price is 1985 euros. Second and third places went to the Bulltron Polar 350 Ah (76 points, 1844 euros) and Renogy Pro 200 Ah (75 points, 1064 euros).
