Citroën has introduced a special Type Holidays series based on the SpaceTourer, styled after the classic Type H. The new model features a 2.2-liter Fiat diesel producing 180 hp and 400 Nm, replacing the previous 2.0 HDi. Price is €64,790. Equipment includes a kitchen with hob and sink, a 16-liter fridge, a shower with a 25-liter tank, and a chemical toilet. Fuel consumption is 7.9 L/100 km, CO2 emissions are 198 g/km.

Auto Plus magazine investigated which used campers can realistically surpass 300,000 km. Leading candidates include the Volkswagen California based on the Transporter with TDI engine, the Mercedes Marco Polo based on the Vito, and the Ford Transit Custom Nugget with EcoBlue engine. The more affordable Renault Trafic SpaceNomad is also considered a reliable option. Fiat Ducato and Iveco Daily, used as bases for many motorhomes, can reach this mileage but require attention to injectors, turbo, DPF, and corrosion. Experts advise choosing a vehicle with a full service history and checking the conversion, including roof seals and gas equipment. Annual maintenance budget for a high-mileage vehicle is 1,500–2,500 euros.
The Mercedes Classe V Marco Polo is considered by the press to be the best camper for long journeys. It features a 2.0-liter diesel engine (163, 190, or 237 hp), AIRMATIC air suspension, four sleeping berths, a kitchen, and stationary heating. Prices range from €94,918 to €109,810. Drawbacks include the lack of a toilet and shower, as well as limited water and electricity capacity.
Promobil magazine tested the Eifelland Relax electric camper based on the Nissan Interstar-e. The WLTP range is 410 km, but real-world results are significantly lower. At 120 km/h, energy consumption approaches 40 kWh per 100 km, reducing range to 200 km. At 100-105 km/h, consumption drops to 26-28 kWh, providing about 300 km of real range. Charging from 15% to 80% takes 31 minutes. The test vehicle costs 89,900 euros, which is 13,000 euros more than the diesel version.
Happier Camper has introduced the HC1 Venture, a modular caravan inspired by classic American models from the 1960s. It features the Adaptiv system, allowing interior blocks to be rearranged, and weighs 499 kg. Prices start at €38,000.
Promobil magazine tested the two-person camper Clever Duo 540 based on Citroën. The vehicle is 5.41 meters long. During the two-day test, build quality was noted as rarely found in this price range. The layout differs from traditional designs: the bathroom is located behind the driver's seat, followed by a large wardrobe, and at the rear there is a raised transverse bed with seats underneath.
The Etrusco CV 600 DB+ motorhome based on the Fiat Ducato is again participating in a long-term test by Auto Bild. The 6-meter model features a pop-up roof for €5,999, a Complete Selection package for €3,999, and other equipment. The test revealed reliable road behavior but noted a long brake pedal travel and noise above 120 km/h.
IMTEST tested five roof tents for 2-3 people priced up to 2,700 euros. The models Dometic TRT 140 Air, Front Runner Feather-Lite, Gordigear Daintree 140, Horntools and Thule Approach M were evaluated for rain and wind resistance, sleeping comfort and ease of setup. It is noted that roof tents cost 2,000-3,000 euros, which is significantly cheaper than a camper, for example, a VW T6.1 California from 63,000 euros. Before purchasing, it is recommended to check the permissible roof load in the vehicle's operating manual.
Adria has unveiled the Coral XL 660 SL 2024, an alcove motorhome built on a front-wheel-drive Fiat Ducato chassis. It is powered by a 2.2-liter diesel engine producing 180 hp, paired with a nine-speed automatic gearbox, and accommodates five people. The interior includes two double beds, a separate shower cubicle, a 20-liter bio-toilet, a Truma Combi 6E heating system (gas/electric), a 142-liter refrigerator with freezer, and a 10-liter boiler. The vehicle has a permissible gross weight of 3,500 kg, a payload of 520 kg, and a maximum trailer weight of 2,000 kg. It falls into category B, allowing most drivers to operate it without additional licensing.

promobil editors have begun a long-term test of the Hobby Ontour Van 600 FT on a Citroën Light chassis. The 5.99 m long, 2.05 m wide and 2.66 m high camper with a 3.5 t GVWR and 140 hp diesel will be evaluated for reliability, fuel consumption, wear and comfort. Base price is €69,245; the test vehicle with options (automatic, panoramic roof, ambient lighting, side window) costs €76,100. Special attention will be paid to the limited payload (536 kg) and sleeping arrangements (rear bed 1.94×1.40 m, convertible dinette 1.82×0.58 m).
Randger has introduced the R595 camper based on the Fiat Ducato. The model has no permanent bed: the main sleeping area is an electrically operated pop-top bed measuring 132×197 cm. The rear section is divided into three zones: toilet, separate shower, and washbasin. The kitchen features a 150-liter drawer refrigerator. The price is €72,190 for the 140 hp version; the 180 hp version with automatic transmission costs an additional €4,800.
Installing a fixed air conditioner in a motorhome or caravan can be costly, with equipment often costing several thousand euros plus installation fees. Mobile units offer a cheaper alternative and can also be used at home. IMTEST tested ten models, including split systems, monoblock units, air coolers, and fans, with prices and pros and cons.
US manufacturer Aliner has introduced the Scout 15, a folding caravan with rigid wall panels that can be set up in 30 seconds without tools. Inside, the ceiling height is 2.54 meters, and there is sleeping space for up to four people. The caravan weighs 881 kg, making it suitable for most passenger cars. In Germany, the model is available from €20,000.
German manufacturer Fendt offers the Tendenza 515 SG caravan at a base price of 33,990 euros. With optional extras such as a fiberglass roof, air conditioning, and an awning, the test vehicle's price exceeds 50,000 euros. The model features seven-zone mattresses, adjustable slats, and ambient lighting. The manufacturer targets couples who spend extended periods traveling.
The 2026 27North Winston is built on a 170-inch-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 XD AWD cutaway chassis and measures approximately 24 feet long, 7 feet 2 inches wide, and 10 feet 1 inch tall. It offers three floor plans: 27A with a fixed queen bed, 27B with a convertible dinette, and 27C with twin beds. Standard equipment includes a 10-kWh lithium battery bank, a 3,600-watt inverter, a 1,000-watt solar package, a 48-volt EcoFlow system, a Velit air conditioner, a Truma Combi diesel heater, a full shower, and a Thetford toilet. The MSRP is $249,500.
Nissan updated the NV200 Vanette Myroom in December 2025, adding insulation and new features. The model is positioned as a more compact alternative to the Caravan Myroom, suitable for daily driving and overnight stays. Prices start at 4,843,300 yen for 2WD and 5,157,900 yen for 4WD. The interior features 2-in-1 seats that convert into a bed, plus a foldable table.
Action Mobil has unveiled the Atacama 7200 Arocs expedition vehicle based on a three-axle all-wheel-drive Mercedes Arocs 6×6. The vehicle measures 10.9 meters in length, 2.47 meters in width, and 3.85 meters in height. The 7.2-meter living module accommodates six people and includes a kitchen with an induction hob, dishwasher, 175-liter refrigerator, and 150-liter freezer, as well as a bathroom with a shower. Autonomy is ensured by six lithium-ion batteries, 1760 W solar panels, tanks for 800 liters of fresh water, and 220 liters for wastewater. The 510-horsepower engine allows carrying up to 9.9 tons of cargo. The model is designed for long expeditions far from civilization.
Several manufacturers have introduced campers with a drop-down bed at the rear, allowing for an expanded cargo area. This layout provides a fixed sleeping space without the need for setup and offers variable loading heights. According to Etrusco, passengers can sleep on the raised bed simultaneously.
