Camping Willam, located in Markelfingen and part of the municipality of Reichenau, has been ranked 10th in a Europe-wide 2026 campsite ranking by a camping portal. Owner Christian Willam said the result confirms his management approach. Guests from Rheinstetten near Karlsruhe, visiting the site for the first time, said they chose it based on positive online reviews, which they found to be accurate.

A motorhome owner has complained about the cost of parking at the new motorhome stopover in Skillinge, Simrishamn Municipality. In late August he emailed the municipality, calling the 410 kronor fee too expensive and noting that the site is still under construction.

A motorhome stop for 12 vehicles has opened in Bodenmais, Bavarian Forest, on a paved lot at the edge of town. In high season, the nightly fee is 10 EUR, plus a spa tax of 2.50 EUR per adult. Water costs 50 cents per 100 litres, electricity 50 cents per kWh, and grey water and cassette toilet disposal are included. For transit travellers, free supply and disposal are available, including in winter via a Holiday-Cleany station. There is no Wi-Fi, toilet or shower; dogs are allowed. The site is partly uneven and partly shaded.
At the campsite on Deulowitz Lake near Guben, some permanent campers have criticised rising fees and infrastructure. Complaints concern sanitary facilities, water supply, tree maintenance and the allocation of responsibility for work. Some campers have drawn consequences. The operator has responded to the criticism.

Germany accounts for 47 of the 100 entries, with Insel-Camp Fehmarn the highest-placed German site at No. 7. According to the portal, a standard night at a German campsite in high season costs around 30 euros, compared with over 40 euros in Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Croatia.
From April 1 to October 31, New Brighton State Beach, one of California's most popular beachfront campgrounds, will charge early arrivals $10 per parking space due to high volume and limited parking for larger RVs. Early parking is available only at Seacliff (Upper day use lot) or Manresa Main State Beaches, subject to availability. The campground has 11 RV hookup sites with electricity only, a maximum consecutive stay of seven days followed by a 48-hour absence, and a 30-day annual limit.
