On May 21, 2026, in Ruoti (Basilicata region, Potenza province), the official opening of a camper area, picnic areas and nature trails Varco del Torno – Lago Scuro – Abetina took place. The initiative aims to develop tourist infrastructure and promote the area's natural heritage.
The ceremony began at 5:00 p.m. in Varco del Torno, with the participation of Basilicata regional assessor Laura Mongiello and other officials. At 7:00 p.m., a meeting was held at the Museum of Rural Life in Taverna Foy, dedicated to territorial development projects and prospects for sustainable tourism.
