One Hospitalized After Tractor-Trailer, Camper Crash in Phelps

German tourist attacked in motorhome in Almería

A 44-year-old German woman was seriously injured in an attempted rape inside her motorhome in Almería on June 21. The incident occurred around 5:30 PM in a motorhome parking area near the Andarax River. The 21-year-old suspect, currently undocumented, forced entry with a knife and a stick, beat the victim, and attempted sexual assault. Motorhome sinks through wooden walkway in Drenthe nature reserve, removal complicated

A motorhome that sank through a wooden walkway (vlonderpad) last week in the Grolloërveen nature reserve in the province of Drenthe will remain there for now. A safe removal method has not yet been found. The incident occurred Thursday evening when the driver took a wrong turn onto the walkway, designed only for hikers and cyclists. The wooden planks broke under the vehicle's weight. According to the forester, the campers were fined for driving on a prohibited path. The location complicates recovery: the reserve is a fragile protected peatland area, and heavy equipment cannot enter without precautions.
