A new RV campground with 28 sites could be built in Ellsworth, Maine, as early as next summer. Superior Realty Inc. has filed a preliminary application for the project. The campground would cater to seasonal and short-term visitors and is part of the city's tourism infrastructure expansion aimed at guests of Acadia National Park.
According to the proposal, the campground would be located on a 52-acre site on Bayside Road. Each site would include electric, sewer, and water hookups. Construction is estimated at $650,000, with completion scheduled for July 2027.
