Camping World Holdings introduces quiet RV air conditioner Coleman Mach 3

Camping World Holdings has launched the Coleman Mach 3 air conditioner for RVs in the US market. The unit provides 13,500 BTU cooling power for medium-sized vehicles and operates on 120V power. It features low noise levels and even air distribution. The product is not officially available in Europe.

Challenger 337: short twin-bed profile returns

French manufacturer Challenger has relaunched the short version of its twin-bed profile, the 337. The motorhome measures 7.19 m in length, 10 cm shorter than the Challenger 317 from last year, which has been discontinued. It features a face-to-face lounge, a kitchen opposite the entrance, a transverse washroom with separate shower, and a bedroom with twin beds (190x85 cm) that can be joined. The model is available exclusively in Graphite Edition trim on a Fiat Ducato 140 hp or Ford Transit 130 hp chassis.

Chinese brand Skydream draws international media attention

USA TODAY published a feature on Skydream, a Chinese smart RV brand. The company has developed an integrated platform based on an electric skateboard chassis, incorporating driver assistance, energy management, and smart home systems. Its lineup includes three types of trailers: all-terrain, lightweight road, and off-road. The first production model is expected to launch in the second half of 2026 in Australia, New Zealand, and North America.

BGH Capital trumped by rival bidder in battle for campervans group

Portuguese company Indie Campers has made a buyout proposal for Tourism Holdings, a campervan rental operator with a fleet of 8,000 vehicles under brands including Britz, Maui, Apollo and Hippie. The proposal is valued at $616 million, topping a previous bid from private equity group BGH Capital. Tourism Holdings is listed on the New Zealand and Australian stock exchanges.

NTB to open Lots INOUTDOOR showroom in Hachioji, unveil AOSAGI camper van

Japan Special Body (NTB) will open a new camper van showroom, Lots INOUTDOOR, in Hachioji, Tokyo, on June 26, 2026. The event will feature the debut of the AOSAGI camper van, co-developed with popular YouTuber Kupio (channel “Kupio no Shachu Seikatsu,” approx. 790k subscribers). Based on the Travio platform, the AOSAGI includes a boiler, toilet, shower, semi-permanent bed, and ample storage. NTB will also display the HARUKA, successor to the SAKURA, equipped with a 975W solar panel, 5 kWh lithium battery, and dual inverters. Additionally, the Phase Free-certified EXPEDITION STRIKER and KAGAYAKI models will be shown, designed for both leisure and emergency use.

VALA Group beats Xiaomi in electric camper segment

VALA Group (2051.HK) delivered 564 vala electric campers in Q1 2026, capturing 60% of China's electric camper market. The company uses an asset-light model: co-development with OEMs (BAW,瑞驰, Wuling, SAIC Maxus) and a product development cycle 4-5 times shorter than traditional automakers. Unlike Xiaomi, which is only testing a pop-up roof on a prototype, VALA already mass-produces models with a slanted pop-up roof that allows entry into underground parking garages.

Etrusco unveils CV 640 PB+ camper van with lift bed and large rear storage

Italian manufacturer Etrusco has expanded its camper van lineup with the CV 640 PB+ for the 2027 model year. The 6.36-meter van, built on a Fiat Ducato, features an electrically adjustable lift bed at the rear, allowing the space to serve as both a sleeping area and cargo hold. The storage compartment measures 73×111×180 cm. The model also includes a Skyview glass roof and a compact Variobath. Price is €80,990; debut at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf.

Hobby equips all 2027 camper vans with automatic transmission and HD rearview camera

Hobby has announced updates to its camper van lineup for 2027. All models in the ONTOUR VAN and PRESTIGE VAN series can now be ordered with an 8-speed automatic transmission (140 or 180 hp) as an option. A high-resolution rearview camera with three viewing angles and redesigned seats with integrated headrests are now standard on all camper vans.

AEONrv, a Reno-based manufacturer of all-season, off-road adventure vehicles, announced its 2026 lineup, including the updated AEONv and the new AEONrv EXT with an extended wheelbase. The EXT is built on the 2026 Ford Transit AWD chassis with an 11,000-pound GVWR and 178-inch wheelbase, increasing towing capacity, cargo space, and off-grid range. The interior is entirely wood-free, using PET structural foam core from recycled bottles, reducing weight by up to 50%. The all-electric energy system includes Victron NG lithium batteries, Victron Orion XS charging, and up to 1,200 watts of rooftop solar. Pricing starts at $229,500 for the AEONv and $239,500 for the AEONrv EXT, with orders available immediately.

Based on the MAN TGE (5.98 m long), it features a 2.0-liter turbodiesel with 163 hp and an 8-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment includes the Premium package, multimedia system, 120 Wp solar panel, two 100 Ah lithium batteries, a 90-liter fridge, and water tanks (100 L fresh, 84 L grey). Price in Germany starts at €99,990.

West Dorset holiday park redevelopment plans submitted

An environmental impact screening request has been filed for Wood Farm Holiday Park in Charmouth, proposing to convert 31 touring caravan pitches and camping pods into 27 static and lodge-style caravan pitches with environmental upgrades. Additional applications in Bridport and nearby villages include rooflight replacements, garage conversions, and home extensions. All plans are available for public comment on Dorset Council's planning register.
