Camper proposes using motorhomes as mobile rest areas for workers

However, specific clients, prices, and pilot schedules have not been set, and the key issue is whether motorhomes can meet legal standards for rest facilities (minimum floor area of 6 sqm, height of 2.1 m, etc.).

Camper with XXL garage for up to 4 bikes: Rocket Bike (2027)

Rocket Camper has unveiled the Rocket Bike, a camper van based on the MAN TGE, measuring 6.84 m in length and featuring a large rear garage with 2.2 m loading depth that can hold up to four bicycles. The vehicle omits a bathroom but includes an external shower, a kitchen with induction hob and 80-litre fridge, and a drop-down bed of 2.15×1.35 m. Prices start at €87,000, with a gross weight of 3.5 tonnes.

Sunlight launches new 4x4 camper range Ibex

German manufacturer Sunlight has unveiled the Ibex family of 4x4 campers, comprising the 604D and 603D models based on the Volkswagen Crafter and Ford Transit, respectively. The 604D, featuring a 163 hp engine, automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive, will enter series production in August. The 603D, successor to the special CLIFF 4x4 Greentrek model, is powered by a 165 hp engine and comes with standard off-road equipment, including all-terrain tires and a Ford Raptor-inspired grille. Both models offer increased interior height and sleeping accommodations, with optional equipment for enhanced off-road capability.

Ahorn Camp brings back compact T 590 for model year 2027

At the Caravan Salon 2026 in Düsseldorf (Aug 28–Sep 6), Ahorn Camp will show the updated T 590, a 5.99 m partially integrated motorhome based on the new Renault Master. Base price is €59,900. Features include an L-shaped seating group, French double bed, separate shower cubicle, Thetford absorption fridge (89 l), and a new CBE control panel. Options include an electrically operated drop-down bed for €1,790 and Isofix child seat anchors for €390.

Italian motorhome market grows by 14.96%

In the first four months of 2026, 4,050 new motorhomes were registered in Italy, up 14.96% from the same period in 2025. The European market grew by 10% (from 58,539 to 64,406 units). Italy is the third-largest motorhome producer in Europe, exporting over 80% of its vehicles. The Ministry of Tourism allocated €25,760,191 to create or upgrade 4,464 motorhome pitches in 170 municipalities.

Volkswagen offers Boa-Noite package for ID. Buzz

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has introduced the Boa-Noite package for the electric ID. Buzz van, turning it into a motorhome for two people. The package includes a bed frame, a folding mattress measuring 2.0 x 1.2 m, blackout curtains, a table, chairs, and ventilation grilles. A new Boa-Noite mode in the software provides climate control for up to 48 hours or until the battery reaches 20% charge. The Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function allows powering appliances up to 2000 watts. The package is available for passenger versions of the ID. Buzz from €2,153. As an electric vehicle, the ID. Buzz is exempt from the ISV tax.

Westfalia Kipling 2026: Compact Camper on Ford Transit with All-Wheel Drive and Bathroom

German manufacturer Westfalia has unveiled the new Kipling 2026 compact camper based on the Ford Transit/Tourneo Custom. The model is powered by a 2.0 Ecoblue diesel engine producing 170 hp, with optional all-wheel drive (+€4,400), and features a fixed bathroom with toilet, a kitchen with two burners, and a 51-liter refrigerator. The price is expected to be about €30,000 less than the Mercedes Marco Polo, making it a competitive option in the compact camper market.

Vala kcar starts at 99,800 yuan, reshaping entry-level motorhome market

Vala has launched the kcar model with a starting price of 99,800 yuan, targeting daily-use motorhome buyers. The vehicle measures 3685×1530×1980 mm, offers a CLTC range of 305 km, and supports fast charging. The base version is priced at 99,800 yuan, while the version with an optional package costs 139,600 yuan. It features a 30.6 kWh battery and provides 3.3 kW of external power supply.

CI Magis Air Edition: air conditioning becomes standard equipment

Italian manufacturer CI has introduced a special Magis Air Edition series based on the Magis range, featuring a roof-mounted air conditioner as standard. The series includes four models with a length of 7.45 m: two semi-integrated and two fully integrated. In addition to air conditioning, standard equipment includes Combi 6 diesel heating, Wi-Fi router, 32-inch Smart TV, 200 W solar panel, automatic transmission, and more. The new models are aimed at comfortable travel in hot weather.

vala and Wuling have launched the vala kcar, a compact electric vehicle for urban commuting and camping. The standard version costs 99,800 yuan, while the version with a full package is priced at 139,600 yuan. The car features a 30.6 kWh battery with a range of 305 km and supports DC fast charging. It is manufactured at Wuling's factory and approved for road registration.

Japanese company RV Trust has unveiled an updated version of the TR550L.Bolero-V.max camper based on the Toyota Hiace Wagon GL. The model features a modernized air conditioning system, a 400 Ah lithium-ion battery, and a 160 W solar panel. Inside, there are two fixed beds, a kitchen with a 65-liter refrigerator, and a separate toilet and shower room. Dimensions are 5480×2150×2850 mm, with prices in Japan starting at 14.9 million yen.
