The Roda de Ter town council has initially approved a project to create a new rest area for motorhomes. The budget is 207,226.84 euros including VAT. The project, drafted by technician Arnau Gorchs Novellas, covers adapting the selected plot for reception and parking of these vehicles.

At FIT 2026 in Buenos Aires, Córdoba presented the second stage of the Ruta del Motorhome with new stations across the province.
Entrepreneur Bas Pronk of Eenhoorn Evenementen has submitted an initial plan to the municipality of Hoorn for a temporary recreation area on the Schelphoek peninsula, named Buitengewoon aan de Schelphoek. The plan includes glamping tents, motorhome pitches, hospitality, group events, business meetings, team building, training sessions and wedding ceremonies, for a period of at least five years. The municipal executive is in principle willing to cooperate, but no permit has been granted. The current Omgevingsplan does not allow all planned activities: the water is designated as a marina and the land for traffic and stay, so a deviation from the plan is required. Eenhoorn Evenementen must now submit an environmental permit application with supporting documents and necessary studies, including environmental and safety assessments, as well as demonstrate resident participation and regional coordination. A final decision will be taken once all documents and studies are received.

The municipality of Tivoli has postponed the completion of works for a new motorhome area on the Lungo Aniene Giuseppe Impastato. The project is part of a 2,100,000 euro funding granted by the Council of Ministers on 8 June 2023 for the 2025 Jubilee. Order No. 314, signed on 28 September by local police commander Eleonora Giusti, marks the second extension. Traffic changes run from 26 September 2026 to 31 October 2026: on weekdays, parking with forced removal is banned on the right side of the Lungo Aniene from the Via Roma entrance to the first U-turn lane, as well as on several left-side spaces and the motorcycle area. Restrictions do not apply on weekends and public holidays.

South Waco RV Park has opened at 6992 I-35 N Frontage Rd in Hewitt, Texas, offering full-hookup RV sites. Rates start at $55 per night, $350 per week, or $650 per month, plus tax. Each site includes a 17.5-foot by 40-foot RV pad and a 16-foot by 30-foot parking area, with electricity individually metered and billed at actual usage without markup. The gated park with 24/7 surveillance and complimentary Wi-Fi targets traveling contractors, healthcare professionals, and warehouse employees on assignment.

The Waco (Texas) City Council on Sept. 15 unanimously approved a special permit for a recreational vehicle park at 4201 S. Third St., despite opposition from nearby residents. Applicant Wazir “Rick” Dhanani plans to add hookups for 27 RV stalls on the Third Street side and reopen a convenience store on the University Parks Drive side. The Plan Commission approved the permit on Aug. 25. Dhanani says the RV park previously operated at the site before the city annexed it in the late 1990s.

In Vicoforte, construction of a new motorhome area is set to begin next week. The municipality received two bids for managing the facility under a concession; a commission will review them in the coming days. Electrical and interior work at the Cubri complex is complete, with external paving and ceiling installation remaining.
RVpark Nagaya Ide Kyoto has opened in Ide, Tsuzuki District, Kyoto Prefecture, roughly halfway between Kyoto and Nara. The site has three pitches, each with a private room containing a toilet, washbasin and hot shower, fully wheelchair accessible. The rate is from 6,000 yen per night per vehicle; electricity and water are free, generators and open flames are prohibited. Booking is available online until 8:00 on the day of arrival.

On 26 September in Ponte d'Arli, commune of Arli, a new camper area and mini-football pitch were opened. The event was dedicated to the memory of Davis Volpini and marked the 1st memorial.
Redcar and Cleveland Council approved a five-static-caravan holiday park at Charltons near Guisborough. North York Moors National Park recommended preserving green screens and dark night sky lighting.

A new motorhome service area has opened at the port of A Guarda. Investment totaled 305,000 euros under the PSTD A Guarda plan, funded by NextGenerationEU.
The municipality of Berbenno has completed a new camper area. The project was funded with 24,000 euros from the Ministry of Tourism and 31,000 euros from the Comunità Montana Valle Imagna. Management is entrusted to Bar Lupa, with access and payment via the Reservation2Go app. The daily rate is 15 euros per 24 hours.
A new campsite for 157 motorhomes and campervans is planned in Elche, Alicante, targeting senior European tourists who stay for one to three months outside the summer season. The site in Valverde Bajo, about six kilometres from Santa Pola and seven from Elche, will cover 19,520 square metres and include a pool, bar, terrace, toilets, leisure areas, playground, parking, water supply and waste management points, two underground wastewater treatment plants and solar LED lighting. The project is promoted by Basque businessman José Antonio Miragaya, who already runs a similar facility in Cantabria. The plot segregation was requested in June 2025, urban compatibility was confirmed by Elche council in November, and segregation was authorised in February 2026. The Declaration of Community Interest (DIC) is now being processed, with resolution expected in early 2027, after which further permits will be required.
The Bra city council approved a zoning change (variant 11) to convert a residential area between Via Sobrero and Viale Costituzione into commercial use. The developer will build a food service business and hand over 2,588 sq m for a 16-pitch motorhome area with water, electricity and waste disposal. The heritage office approved the land swap, in which the municipality will cede 1,800 sq m left over from an old expropriation.
The Japan RV Association has certified RV Park HESTA Izu in Kamo District, Shizuoka Prefecture. The site accepts no more than two groups per day and provides 24-hour toilets, 100V power outlets and garbage disposal; guests can use a free shower and paid facilities at the adjacent hotel, including a hot spring bath, manga lounge, alcohol-inclusive drink bar and breakfast buffet. RV Parks are designed to address long-term parking, security and infrastructure gaps in car camping.
In the Eure department, Patric and Catherine converted their garden into a motorhome stopover area, investing €80,000 in the project. The site, named “La Goule”, has eight pitches with electricity, sanitary facilities and a small grocery shop. As of summer 2023, it had been operating for two months and could accommodate up to six motorhomes per day. The owners did not aim for immediate profit; the site was full during the high season, and some visitors planned to return in September.
Bozeman, Montana, has opened new dump stations for RVs and food truck grease at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds. The $180,000 project includes the first grease interceptor station in Gallatin County. Each station costs $10 per use. The fairgrounds has 44 RV spaces, but only about half have RV dumps.
The municipality of Sanlúcar la Mayor in Seville will convert an underused area at the municipal sports complex into a motorhome parking facility of nearly 2,000 square metres. The site will accommodate around 20 motorhomes and include services for a safe and comfortable stop. The project is financed by the Seville Provincial Council through the Sevilla Más Turístico programme, with an investment of approximately 500,000 euros. It aims to attract visitors and boost local commerce and hospitality.
In Minabe, Wakayama Prefecture, an auto campsite named Ume-no-Sato has opened on the former Seigawa Junior High School grounds, which closed in 2014. The site offers toilets and water; an overnight tent pitch for up to four people costs 3,300 yen, and a day-use pass is 500 yen per person. On weekends, 70–80% of visitors come from outside the Kii region, with up to 12 groups at peak times. A bouldering wall is available but currently opens only at night; the operator is considering daytime hours and walking routes.
