Start date
1-31 August 2026
Location
Hidalgo del Parral

About the event

Ruta Tarahumara 2026 is a touring caravan of recreational vehicles that crosses the Sierra Tarahumara in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. More than 40 motorhomes and some 80 families travel together through ten municipalities — including Hidalgo del Parral, Guachochi and other mountain towns — discovering canyons, waterfalls and Rarámuri culture along the way.

The caravan runs throughout the month of August 2026, with a rolling itinerary that moves between communities of the sierra, combining road travel, camping and local tourism. Note: organisers have so far announced the route for the whole of August; precise daily dates for each municipality are approximate and subject to the final published itinerary.
