In the San Carlos neighborhood of Nogales, Sonora, private security personnel detained a man suspected of stealing from a motorhome. The incident occurred at 9:49 AM when employees of ZB Mantenimientos y Servicios observed the suspect exiting a motorhome belonging to one of the workers. He attempted to flee but was caught and handed over to municipal police. Daniel G., 48, was found in possession of two cell phones, an electric razor, and a wristwatch, identified by the owner.

On June 18, 2026, a woman was killed during an attempted robbery on the Toluca-Palmillas highway in Querétaro, Mexico. She was traveling in the camper of a pickup truck when armed suspects tried to force the vehicle to stop. The driver accelerated, triggering a chase during which shots were fired. As part of the Héroes Paisanos program, the Migrantes Unidos caravan, comprising 402 vehicles and about two thousand people, entered Mexico through the border in Nuevo Laredo.
