Retain Media released its Q1 2026 RV Market Brand Consideration Report, based on over 2.7 million search queries, detailing consumer interest across Australia's recreational vehicle sector. Jayco strengthened its lead to 23.6%, while Opus Camper rose to 3.5% through consistent growth since mid-2025. Lifestyle Campers recovered to 2.8%, and Patriot Campers increased from 1.2% to 1.5%. Zone RV saw a sharp decline after an unusually high Q4 2025, described as a correction.

Zone RV salvage deal leaves caravan customers millions out of pocket

A deal to salvage the collapsed luxury caravan maker Zone RV will leave over 100 customers about $10 million short, as their progress payments are not part of the asset purchase by Essential Caravans. The new owner offered affected customers caravans at cost price, which still requires significant additional payment for most, and has scrapped the previous progressive payment system. The liquidator will now investigate potential illegal trading by a former director.
