Hymer Group has announced the Eriba Touring 2026 line of caravans with a neo-retro design. The models feature compact dimensions, an aerodynamic body and a pop-up roof. Several layouts are available, including a version with twin beds and a multifunctional bathroom. Prices start at €25,460.
Auto Zeitung has compiled a list of ten camper vans with pop-up roofs that combine maneuverability with sleeping capacity for up to four people. The ranking includes models such as Adria Twin Sports, Clever Vans Aventuro 600, Corigon CV 60 D, Eriba Car, Hobby Ontour Van, Karmann Davis 595 Trendstyle, Knaus Boxtime, Kompanja Zwei, Rocket Base, and Van Tourer 540 D. Prices range from €55,499 to €98,999, with the pop-up roof option costing between €5,990 and €7,199.
Sweden is experiencing a motorhome boom: new registrations increased by over 60% in the first four months of the year compared to the same period last year. In response, dealer Hymer Center will open its ninth facility in the country, this time in Jönköping. The 12,000 sq m complex (main building 2,300 sq m) will include sales, service, workshop, and store for brands Hymer, Carado, and Eriba. The investment is 75 million Swedish kronor, with construction planned to start in 2027.
The 12th motorhome donation campaign by Lebenshilfe Gießen has concluded, with winners drawn for three main prizes: a 1983 VW Bus T3 Westfalia Club Joker, a 1960 Hymer Eriba Puck caravan, and a Solo Mini Bike 725. The campaign raised approximately €225,000, which will fund inclusive projects such as day care for seniors with intellectual disabilities and expansion of the 'plusPunkt' support center. The 13th campaign is already underway and will be featured on hr-fernsehen on May 26.
Campolife dealer in Heinenoord, Netherlands, has added Hymer motorhomes and Eriba caravans to its lineup. Initial models are available for viewing and purchase. The company claims to offer one of the largest and most diverse selections in the country, with over 800 models in stock. Both brands, founded in 1957, are known for quality and innovation.
Michel Oliveira, owner of Les Aménagements du Mich workshop in Revigny, has been appointed as an official repairer and dealer for Eriba caravans. He restores models from the 1960s using unique spare parts collected across France. Customers from across Europe visit him despite repair times of up to two years.
Eriba has updated the Touring Troll GT 542, adding twin beds to the classic compact layout. The caravan has an overall length of 576 cm including the drawbar, a kerb weight of 940 kg, and a maximum gross weight of 1300 kg. Sleeping arrangements include a front dinette bed (198×73 cm) and two fixed rear single beds (197/190×198 cm). Price: €21,010 (VAT included, ex-works).

Eriba has unveiled the Eriba Car 600 camper on a Volkswagen Crafter chassis. The model features premium equipment, two-tone paint, and an optional pop-up roof for up to four people.
A three-person team at Erwin Hymer Group's Innovation Camp in Bad Waldsee has upgraded the Eriba Touring model, cutting its carbon footprint by 30–40% using biodegradable and recycled materials. They also created a lightweight trailer for towing by electric cars, with convertible furniture and solar panels.
The manufacturer has introduced the special edition Eriba Touring Silver Edition caravan. The model features Crystal Silver exterior finish, modern interior, and Eriba Connect system for smartphone control. The caravan is available in five floor plans and can be equipped with optional sensors for tire pressure and gas level monitoring.
Chinese company Aumar has introduced the Eriba Touring, a retro-styled travel trailer. The caravan is 599 cm long, weighs 1300 kg, features a pop-up roof, and accommodates up to three people with a kitchen, living area, bedroom, and bathroom. Its price in China starts from 1.45 million yuan (approx. $200,000).
A test compared the updated Eriba Feeling 442 caravan with a pop-up roof against the new fixed-roof Novaline 495 model. The Feeling 442 proved shorter, lighter, and more fuel-efficient while towing, but its fabric-walled design limits use in cold weather. The Novaline 495 offers more comfort and space due to its conventional construction and length of over 7 meters.
The motorhome Pamela, an old Eriba Car, has become the unofficial star of the TV show 'Der Camping Check'. The show, aired on Hessischer Rundfunk since 2020, attracts around 500,000 viewers per episode. Pamela, with 73 horsepower, is known for its character and occasional breakdowns on screen.
The new caravan series was presented at the CMT 2026 show in Stuttgart. Eriba's Touring Silver Edition features a retro design with industrial accents and aluminum panels. The series offers five layouts starting from 29,000 euros.

Results of the 2026 reader vote are out. Eriba Touring won the compact class, Hobby Ontour the mid-range, and Fendt Diamant the premium class, securing its eighth consecutive victory.
The special edition Touring Silver Edition was presented at the CMT 2026 trade show in Stuttgart. The caravan is offered in five floorplans, ranging from 5.54 to 6.46 meters, with an enhanced standard equipment package. Prices start at 31,290 euros.
Ten compact and lightweight travel trailers with a permissible total weight from 750 kg have been presented. The models are suitable for beginners and electric vehicle owners, as they do not require a special license and have less impact on range. The list includes models from Adria, Fendt, Hobby, and Eriba, with prices starting from €13,590.

Dealer Campolife has added Hymer motorhomes and Eriba caravans to its range. Models are available at the Heinenoord showroom with immediate delivery. The lineup will be expanded by summer.
Several caravan models were discontinued after brief market presence. The 2006 Bürstner Duo with swivel chairs never entered series production, the Dethleffs Coco disappeared after two years, and the Eriba Touring 820 cost over €120,000 and was produced for four years.
