Spain's Council of Ministers has approved amendments to the General Traffic Regulations that unify parking rules for motorhomes and campers. These vehicles can now stop in cities under the same conditions as cars, provided three requirements are met: no protruding elements (awnings, tables, chairs), support only on wheels (no stabilizers), and a ban on discharging gray and black water.
Violations are considered illegal parking and carry fines from 60 to 200 euros in urban areas and up to 5000 euros in protected natural areas. Municipalities retain the right to impose general restrictions on time, weight, and dimensions for all vehicles.
