Registration for European trips
The DVLA has warned caravan owners about the need to register when travelling to Europe. Failure to have documents could result in a fine of up to €1000 (about £850). Registration is mandatory for trailers and caravans over 750 kg, except for trips to Ireland, Cyprus, Malta, and Spain. Registration costs £26, and replacing a certificate costs £21.
