Two RV campsite projects are moving forward simultaneously in the Enderby area of British Columbia.
127-unit project
An application to build a 127-unit RV park on Enderby-Mabel Lake Road requires a zoning change. Public hearings are scheduled for April 21. Local residents oppose the project, citing lack of infrastructure, fire risk, and environmental degradation. The regional director sees economic opportunities for tourism. For approval, the applicant must provide engineering reports on slope stability, wastewater disposal, and a hydrogeological study.
22-site project
The Splatsin Development Corporation (SDC) has applied for a development variance permit for a property on Parkway Road in the Mabel Lake area. The proposal includes a 22-site RV campground and 10 rental cabins, plus a pool, recreation area, and service building. The four-hectare site currently lacks water and sewer; SDC plans to install a well and septic system. The application will be reviewed by the Regional District of North Okanagan planning commission on April 29.
Existing municipal campground
The municipal Riverside RV Park in Enderby operates year-round and is accepting reservations for 2026. All revenue goes to the city. Amenities include access to the Shuswap River, a planned bike trail, and proximity to baseball fields.
