Mother and daughter recover after RV explosion in Oklahoma

A mother and daughter are recovering at home after an RV explosion in Cherokee County, Oklahoma, on July 22 left them seriously burned. Stevie Starr and her daughter Alivia were taken to hospitals; Alivia was later flown to Galveston, Texas, while Starr spent three weeks in a coma. Starr was released on August 21. The cause of the explosion is under investigation, with the family suspecting a gas leak.

Sarasota boy with leukemia receives camper through Make-A-Wish

Andrew Ventura, a 4-year-old from Sarasota, Florida, received a camper from Make-A-Wish Southern Florida during a visit to Camping World in Pinellas Park. Andrew, who has leukemia, wished for a camper after watching the cartoon Peppa Pig, which helped him pass time during cancer treatment. The organization said Andrew has spent much of his life indoors due to his illness and the COVID-19 pandemic, and the camper will allow his family to make outdoor memories together.
