Newmar has introduced the 2026 Grand Star 3948, a Super C motorhome built on a Freightliner S2RV chassis. It is powered by a 6.7L Cummins diesel engine (360 hp, 800 lb-ft torque) and has a towing capacity of 12,000 lbs. Features include pneumatic suspension seats, touchscreen controls, a swiveling outdoor Smart TV with soundbar, a dinette that converts into an extra bed, and large side windows.
Newmar is expanding its Super C lineup with models that rival Class A luxury, including the 2026 Summit Aire with 30,000-pound towing capacity and the shortest floorplan on a Freightliner S2 chassis. All-electric energy packages with Lithionics 960 Ah batteries and solar panels are available. Customization includes one-of-one Artisan Series paint graphics.
A retiree has filed a lawsuit in the British Columbia Supreme Court against a motorhome manufacturer. He alleges that his 2023 Newmar New Aire motorhome has multiple defects that were not addressed after complaints. Court hearings are scheduled for June 2025.

Motorhome manufacturer Newmar will showcase new models at the Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa from January 13-18, 2026.
