Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has announced two novelties for Caravan Salon 2026 in Germany: a camping kit with an inflatable kitchen for the Multivan T7 and the ID. California Cruise electric camper concept based on the ID. Buzz.
The inflatable kitchen, developed together with startup Stuff Bubble, weighs less than 10 kg, measures 120 × 44 × 47.5 cm, features a closed water circulation system, and can be used inside and outside the vehicle. The kit also includes inflatable mattresses (single 6 kg, double 12 kg) and a pop-up roof tent, providing sleeping space for four adults. Installation takes a few minutes and is compatible with all Multivan T7 versions. It is currently a concept; a production decision will be made after the show.
The ID. California Cruise concept will be the first fully electric camper based on the ID. Buzz. Details will be revealed on August 28, with the launch of the electric camper family planned by 2028.
