Ahorn Camp brings back compact T 590 for model year 2027

At the Caravan Salon 2026 in Düsseldorf (Aug 28–Sep 6), Ahorn Camp will show the updated T 590, a 5.99 m partially integrated motorhome based on the new Renault Master. Base price is €59,900. Features include an L-shaped seating group, French double bed, separate shower cubicle, Thetford absorption fridge (89 l), and a new CBE control panel. Options include an electrically operated drop-down bed for €1,790 and Isofix child seat anchors for €390.

Serious accident in Ticino: seven injured and long traffic jam

On Saturday, a rear-end collision between a car and a motorhome on the A2 motorway near Mezzovico in Ticino injured seven people. The 49-year-old driver of the car, a Kosovar resident of the canton of Aargau, suffered life-threatening injuries. The 50-year-old driver of the motorhome, a Spanish national, was seriously injured. The other five occupants of the two vehicles sustained minor injuries. Traffic in the direction of the Gotthard was partially closed, with a queue of up to 17 kilometers.

500 women wait for place in Texas retiree's tiny house village

In Cumby, Texas, retired Robyn Yerian opened a tiny house village for single women in 2022. The project, registered as an RV park, includes 14 plots. Currently, 11 women aged 60 to 80 live there, with over 500 on the waiting list. Rent is $450 per month.

Heilbronn region: statistics on motorhome and caravan rentals

According to data from the PaulCamper platform, more than 11,300 recreational vehicles have been booked in the Heilbronn region since May 2015. Promobil magazine tested the Eifelland Relax electric camper based on the Nissan Interstar-e. The WLTP range is 410 km, but real-world results are significantly lower. At 120 km/h, energy consumption approaches 40 kWh per 100 km, reducing range to 200 km. At 100-105 km/h, consumption drops to 26-28 kWh, providing about 300 km of real range. Charging from 15% to 80% takes 31 minutes. The test vehicle costs 89,900 euros, which is 13,000 euros more than the diesel version.

Test of Clever Duo 540 camper based on Citroën: compact and cozy

Promobil magazine tested the two-person camper Clever Duo 540 based on Citroën. The vehicle is 5.41 meters long. During the two-day test, build quality was noted as rarely found in this price range. The layout differs from traditional designs: the bathroom is located behind the driver's seat, followed by a large wardrobe, and at the rear there is a raised transverse bed with seats underneath.
