OpenVan.camp Editorial
The team that curates, translates and produces content for OpenVan.camp.
OpenVan.camp is an independent publication about vanlife and motorhomes. We cover global industry news, hardware guides, lifestyle stories, and our own reviews and investigations. The editorial team has been operating since 2024.
We serve 7 language markets and 50+ countries. Materials under this author are original editorial publications: VanLife Weekly digests, long-form guides, and posts in the What's New section.
Editorial policy
- Sources. We use official manufacturer press releases, government regulators (ANP, BMVI, transport ministries), industry media (RV Business, Caravan Magazine, etc.) and original research. Every aggregated news item links to the original source.
- Translation. For aggregated news we use LLMs (DeepSeek, GPT, Claude) with post-validation for script integrity and factual preservation. Editorial materials under this author are translated manually or with a human editor in the loop.
- Verification. Fuel prices, event details and regulatory data are cross-checked against at least two independent sources. Critical topics (laws, accidents, business deals) require verification before publication.
- Attribution. Copyright for original publications remains with the source. We always credit the source, original date and author. Quotations stay within fair use.
AI disclosure
We use large language models for translating news into 7 languages, clustering related stories, and generating illustrations. All facts, figures and headlines are verified by an editor. More about our AI pipeline: About.
