A pop-top roof is a folding campervan roof with fabric sides that lifts when parked to provide standing height or an extra sleeping berth.
It is common on compact campervans such as Volkswagen California and Mercedes Marco Polo. Unlike a pop-up camper, it is part of the van body rather than a separate folding trailer.
