Fire departments from La Salle, Utica, Oglesby and Troy Grove were dispatched to the scene to provide assistance and coverage.

The Zadar County Tourist Board presented the region's tourism offer at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, held from August 28 to September 6, 2026. The fair, which featured 834 exhibitors from 41 countries and attracted 259,000 visitors, included a 20-square-meter stand for the county. The outdoor hospitality industry, led by OHI, has launched a new online resource to help campground and RV park owners understand grounding monitor interrupters (GMIs), which will be required in new 30-amp and 50-amp RVs starting with Model Year 2028. The resource, available at OHI.org/GMI, includes a one-sheet, FAQ, and guidance on electrical infrastructure. GMIs are safety devices that check the electrical connection before allowing power to flow and can disconnect power if a ground fault or other hazard is detected, preventing "hot skin" conditions.
