Polidor Camping Resort in Istria, located between Poreč and Funtana, operates throughout the year. From October to April guests can use the indoor wellness centre and gym at reduced prices, as well as private wellness and a jacuzzi. The autumn and winter programme includes olive harvesting, cycling, gastronomic workshops and themed evenings. Events began on 17 October with a Bike & Wine ride to Damjanić Winery, followed by an olive harvest on 26 October, Halloween Night on 31 October and Istrian BBQ on 14 November. A burek-making workshop is scheduled for 21 November, a Wine & Cheese evening for 28 November, a fritule gathering for 26 December and a daytime event at D'Orangerie on 31 December. The campsite restaurant is closed in winter.

Eleven Valamar campsites have received the Croatia's Best Campsites 2027 award at the 20th Croatian Camping Congress. Croatia will top the European campsite quality ranking for the first time in 2027.

Austrian company Marchi Mobile produces the eleMMent series of luxury campers. The most expensive units cost up to three million euros, with design based on Luigi Colani's work.

EU Directive 2025/2205 will let category B licence holders drive motorhomes up to 4250 kg, or up to 5000 kg with a trailer, but only after additional training or an exam. In Croatia, the rules are not yet in force.

Palo Alto City Council candidates are debating how to address 150 RV dwellers living on city streets. Councilman Ed Lauing suggests posting signs at city entrances to ban RVs without a parking permit, citing a Sebastopol lawsuit where a federal judge upheld the city's restrictions. Planning Commissioner Bryna Chang proposes prohibiting RV parking from 2 to 5 a.m., while Parks Commissioner Yudy Deng calls for consistent enforcement of existing rules. Mayor Vicki Veenker says the city is making progress but a citywide ban is premature.

Encore RV will attend Overland Expo East on Oct. 23-25 at Oak Ridge Estate in Arrington, Virginia, partnering with Bumgarner Camping Center of Lenoir, North Carolina. The company will display the ROG 12BH-FB Survival Series, ROG 14RKB Survival Series and the newly renovated VENU 17TB. The ROG 12BH-FB and VENU 17TB come with Power-Up and Power+Plus Packages featuring 400Ah lithium battery, 400W roof-mounted solar on a slideout system, 70-amp converter, 3,000W inverter, MPPT controller and dual DC-to-DC chargers up to 62 amps. The ROG 12BH-FB has an exterior pop-up wet bath with over seven feet of headroom and fits in a standard residential garage. All three models feature 100% wood-free construction, all-aluminum chassis and frame, composite flooring and one-piece roof.

In the first half of 2026, 1,277 new motorhomes were registered in Poland, an increase of 11.9% year-on-year. The market for used imported motorhomes is growing even faster, at several thousand units per year. Prices for new campervans start at around 250,000–270,000 zloty and can exceed 400,000 zloty; used models are available from 40,000–60,000 zloty. The average rental price in 2026 is approximately 482 zloty per day in low season, 550 zloty in mid-season and 676 zloty in high season.

Winnebago announced the promotion of Adam Gudger to general manager of its towable division. Gudger joined Winnebago in December 2024 as director of product development and national sales, and has since contributed to the launch of the Thrive product line, the transformation of the Access lineup, and the development of Winnebago's return to the fifth wheel market. In his new role, he will lead strategic direction, product vision, and business for the towable division.

Lightship, founded by former Tesla employees, is expanding its manufacturing facility in Broomfield, Colorado, to produce the AE.1 electric travel trailer. The base price is $157,500, the TrekDrive motor extends towing range, and production is set to increase from 30 to 40 units per month by 2027.

Dutch company Campanero has released a modular tent trailer that adapts to different family sizes. The base Pah-Pah model sleeps one to two people, weighs 705 lbs and starts at €13,950.

The 37th annual Fall Detroit RV and Camping Show runs from Sept. 30 to Oct. 4 at the Vibe Credit Union Showplace in Novi, Michigan, featuring hundreds of RVs, campers and camping products. Highlights include the return of toy haulers—RVs with a built-in garage for motorcycles and ATVs—and compact adventure vans such as the Grand Design Lineage LVT1 on a Ford Transit all-wheel-drive chassis. Toy hauler prices start at around $33,000, with financing options under $300 per month. Admission is $12 for ages 13 and up, $11 for seniors 55 and older, and free for children 12 and under.

Australian water tank monitoring manufacturer Topargee has appointed Rose and Glynn Willard as its U.S.-based representatives. The Willards, University of Delaware graduates and lifelong entrepreneurs, sold their personal training and physical therapy business after more than 20 years and embarked on a full-time RV journey. They will develop relationships with dealers, builders, and manufacturers, represent the company at U.S. events, and provide a local point of contact for the growing U.S. market.

Aliner is returning the Alite 400 folding trailer to the market; it was discontinued in 2017. The 305 kg, 3.35 m model unfolds in 30 seconds into a hard roof 2.03 m high. The 2027 Alite Base is priced at $17,650 and reaches US dealers in winter.

A Chicago driver completed a 39-day, 6,004-mile trip with a 2,580-pound Happier Camper HC1 Venture behind a 2025 Ford Maverick Lariat Hybrid AWD equipped with the 4K Tow Package. On steep Interstate 70 climbs in Colorado, the driver reported flooring the accelerator and topping out at 55 mph, with a short uphill on-ramp creating a more urgent shortage of acceleration. Fuel economy averaged about 19.5 mpg, with $1,370 spent on 308.4 gallons over 35 stops. Despite the limited power on grades, the driver said they would buy the Maverick again, citing over 45 mpg in city driving over ten months.

A travel trailer at Days Inn RV Park by Wyndham Lake Point in Lakepoint, Tooele County, Utah, was destroyed by fire on Sunday. Owner Tristin Perkins and her mother were at work; a neighbor let the dogs out. Firefighters suspect a loose wire on a furnace sparked the blaze; the incident is under investigation. Perkins had stayed at the park for two days. The park refunded her payment, which she used for a hotel room for a week.

Multiple RVs caught fire early Sunday at a storage facility off A Street in Dallesport, Washington. Dallesport Fire requested mutual aid at about 1:20 a.m.; Lyle Fire, Wishram Fire, Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue, a medic unit, a sheriff's deputy and Klickitat PUD responded. Crews shuttled water from a nearby hydrant to the scene.

Pinellas Park police said one person was found dead inside a camper after it caught fire Sunday. Crews responded shortly before 1:45 a.m. to 12313 Tree Street, where a small camper parked in the yard was on fire. Two people were rescued and treated at the scene with no reported injuries. After firefighters extinguished the blaze, a deceased person was found inside the camper; the identity has not been released pending next-of-kin notification. The fire appears accidental, and the specific cause and origin remain under investigation by detectives and the State Fire Marshal.

Thailand-based Avenger Box has introduced the Mini, a travel trailer with a one-piece fiberglass shell. It weighs from 300 kg and is priced from around $6,000, with off-road and customizable trim options.

Hyundai unveiled the Staria Camper concept based on an EV with up to 400 km range. In South Korea, the Staria Lounge Camper is on sale from 4.3 million rubles; in Europe it remains a concept.
