Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will present two world premieres at Caravan Salon 2026 in Düsseldorf (August 28 – September 6). The hybrid California Beach, developed with Stuff Bubble, features a folding kitchen and a bed module. According to one source, the kitchen measures 120 x 44 x 47.5 cm and weighs less than 10 kg; another source says the Stuff Bubble modules weigh 12 kg. The sleeping surface is 200 x 134 cm.
The electric concept ID. California Cruise, based on the ID. Buzz, will also be shown, serving as a precursor to the next generation of fully electric campers. Electric solutions are planned for the next generation of campers by 2028.
