The Florida and Alabama RV Park and Campground Association has awarded its 2026 Supplier of the Year to App My Community. The app enables park operators to automate messaging to guests about activities and events. It integrates with reservation systems CampLife, Firefly Reservations, Newbook, RMS, and Staylist, as well as Wild Energy for wireless meter reading. The app includes GPS navigation for campgrounds and serves over 300 parks in the US, Canada, Mexico, and the UK.
For Vasco Rossi concerts in Ferrara (June 5–7, 2026), a temporary campsite 'Camping Ferrara Concerti' with 250 pitches is set up at Motovelodromo, a 10-minute walk from the concert area. Tent rental is sold out, but pitches for own tents are bookable via the official portal. Motorhome owners can use parking S1 at Fiera area, bookable via Parkforfun, with shuttle: bus line 11 to the station, then dedicated shuttles every 20 minutes, followed by a 20-minute walk.
US manufacturer Encore has introduced the ROG 12RK-FB mini travel trailer, featuring a foldable shower and toilet mounted above the drawbar. The trailer is 4.6 meters long with a 3.7-meter living space. Inside, a sofa converts into a double bed (2.03×1.52 m), and the rear houses a pull-out outdoor kitchen with a 100-liter fridge, sink, and two-burner stove. The caravan weighs 1,270 kg and starts at $34,450 (approx. €29,565) in the US.
Owners of motorhomes and caravans with LPG systems must undergo an inspection every two years and after any repair. Since mid-June 2025, proof of a functional system for heating, cooking, and cooling is required. Fines for missing the inspection range from €15 to €80. The check takes 20–45 minutes and costs €40–€80.
Swedish manufacturer Kabe has introduced the new TRAQ series of motorhomes, capable of towing trailers up to 2,000 kg. The models are built on rear-wheel-drive Mercedes-Benz chassis with dual rear wheels. The flagship Imperial TRAQ i830 has a gross weight of 5,500 kg and a permissible train weight of 7,000 kg. The semi-integrated Novum TRAQ 750 LGB is available with a gross weight of 3,500 or 4,100 kg and a train weight of up to 6,100 kg, with an optional all-wheel drive.
In May, sales of new motorhomes and campervans in Spain reached 785 units, a 28% increase year-on-year. The campervan segment saw a notable rise of 61.5% to 394 registrations, with 111 units being urban vans (up 88.1%). New caravan sales also grew by 23.3% to 143 units. On the second-hand market, motorhome and campervan sales increased by 13.9%, while used caravan sales fell by 12.7%.
The commune of Maël-Carhaix in Côtes-d'Armor, Brittany, has opened a free motorhome stopover with six spaces. The site includes a waste disposal area, water supply, and three electrical outlets. Some services may be suspended in winter, except for waste disposal. The stopover is located near shops and serves as a base for exploring the Monts d'Arrée.
Bowlus has announced a limited run of 25 units of the Endless Highways Frontier Edition caravan, priced from $256,000 (approx. €220,500). The model features an aircraft-grade aluminum monocoque construction, weighing between 1,800 and 2,000 kg. It includes a 19 kWh battery and a 400 W AeroSolar system for off-grid capability. Standard equipment includes Adventure (raised suspension, off-road tires) and Luxe (radiant floor heating, HEPA filter) packages.
The municipality of Obergoms in the canton of Valais, Switzerland, is hiring a ranger to address wild camping on the Furka, Grimsel, and Nufenen passes. In summer 2025, over 120 motorhomes and camper vans were counted in a single night on the Furka Pass. Unlike fines and bans, the ranger will inform travelers about legal parking spots and collect tourist taxes. The position starts in summer 2026.

The Suzuki Every, a Japanese kei-car measuring 3.4 meters in length, is offered in a version with minimal equipment for overnight stays for two people. It is powered by a 660 cc petrol engine (49 or 64 hp), with a CVT and optional all-wheel drive. Priced at around €11,500 in Japan, but without full outfitting. Due to safety homologation issues, the model is unlikely to reach Europe.
Canadian peer-to-peer RV rental marketplace RVezy launched a two-week promotion offering $100 off campground delivery for any travel trailer booking. The discount is available to all Canadian residents until June 15, 2026. Delivery is the fastest-growing booking segment, especially among first-time renters and families with young children. The platform lists over 100,000 RVs across Canada and the U.S.
A caravan has been spotted on Kitchener Road in Great Yarmouth, despite the borough council previously clearing almost 20 abandoned caravans and vans from local roads. The council has taken on new responsibility for tackling illegal highway encampments, focusing on Kitchener Road, Wellesley Road, Bloomfield Road, and South Beach Parade. According to the council, five people have been placed in long-term accommodation, and 19 caravans and vans have been permanently removed. Local MP Rupert Lowe has been pushing for removal of the caravans for over 18 months.
