Fiat Ducato

Italian brand McLouis has presented the Mc4 321 motorhome, which measures 6.99 m long and 2.35 m wide. The model is available on Ford Transit or Fiat Ducato chassis, with a price difference of €3000. The Ford Transit version starts at €68,590, while the Fiat Ducato version starts at €71,590. Instead of a separate bedroom, it has a convertible lounge and a transverse ceiling bed, and the removal of the gas cylinder from the garage has increased storage volume.

Italian manufacturer Rimor has updated its 2027 motorhome line-up, maintaining its focus on the budget segment. The Kilig range comprises 15 models, five coachbuilts and ten low-profiles, priced between €59,400 and €62,490. The higher-end Sarus series has six models and features a new interior with brown, teal and bronze tones. Kilig and Sarus models receive an enlarged entrance door, while the K-Line 69 Plus remains a limited series. Rimor also offers the RimorVan 238 camper van based on a Ford Transit at €52,250 and Horus models on a Fiat Ducato with four layouts.

SüdBadenVan, based in Umkirch near Freiburg, has presented the Schauinsland 540 camper van for model year 2027, built on the shortest Fiat Ducato. The open layout without a partition behind the cab combines a kitchen, a U-shaped seating area and two longitudinal single beds measuring around 180 × 70 and 200 × 70 cm, which can be joined into a 200 × 180 cm bed. The kitchen has a 1,800 W induction hob, a 70-litre compressor fridge and two removable 20-litre water tanks. Equipment includes a 2 kW Autoterm diesel heater, an EcoFlow PowerHub with 3,600 W AC output and an optional pop-top roof with a fourth berth. The base version with a 142 hp engine and manual gearbox starts at €89,000.

A 2027 Weinsberg CaraBus 600 DQ Edition Fire motorhome is being sold in Varberg with a discount of 98,500 kronor. Dealer Varbergs Husbilar lists the price at 948,400 kronor including air conditioning in the living area and offers the vehicle for 849,900 kronor. The offer includes air conditioning valued at 39,400 kronor, leaving 59,100 kronor of the saving without it. The motorhome is built on a Fiat Ducato Maxi chassis with a 2.2-litre 140 hp diesel engine and a six-speed manual gearbox, measures 5.99 metres long and has a gross weight of 3,500 kg. The vehicle has not yet been delivered to the dealer and is advertised as incoming, with pre-orders open.

Eura Mobil has introduced the Vancona line of camper vans based on the Fiat Ducato. The range includes three layouts: the 600 and 640 with a pop-up roof bed, and the 640 with single longitudinal beds. Interiors feature maritime colours, light wood and matte copper accents. A panoramic or pop-top roof is available as an option. Prices start at €57,400 for the EV 595 HB, while the EV 635 EB and EV 635 HB start at €58,700.

Westfalia has introduced the Nansen camper van range, built in France, and updated its 2027 model lineup. The Nansen family comprises the 600L at 5.99 m with bunk beds and a walk-through washroom, and the 640LS at 6.36 m with a pop-top roof and a bed over the rear garage. The Columbus on Fiat Ducato, James Cook on Mercedes Sprinter and Sven Hedin on MAN TGE continue largely unchanged, with the Sven Hedin receiving a 50th-anniversary edition. The Meridian on Ford Transit and the Kepler on Volkswagen T6.1 have been discontinued. The 6.36 m Columbus Liner on Fiat Ducato, with three levels and an optional Sky Lounge terrace, is priced at 104,999 €.

Italian manufacturer Arca has updated its range with the launch of America H motorhomes and the return of the Mascotte camper van series. Both models are based on a 140 hp Fiat Ducato chassis. The America H motorhome is 745 cm long and comes in two layouts: the H 745 GLC with a central island bed and another version with longitudinal single beds. The Mascotte camper vans include the V 599 GT with a lifting rear bed and the V 636 MG with an enlarged rear double bed. Prices for the Mascotte range start at just over €65,000.

The comparison covers the Renault Trafic, Volkswagen Transporter and California, Ford Transit Custom, Fiat Ducato and Citroën Jumper as the base for most camper vans in France. Compact models with 2.0 diesel engines consume 7–9 litres per 100 km and measure under 2 metres in standard roof height. Large vans on the Ducato and Jumper platform offer more space but consume 9–12 litres per 100 km and often exceed 2.5 metres in height. Most of these vehicles have a gross weight of up to 3.5 tonnes and can be driven with a category B licence, but this must be checked on the registration document. Before renting, height, tyre condition and insurance cover should be verified.

German manufacturer Knaus has presented its 2027 motorhome collection, expanding its partnership with Volkswagen. Two new ranges, Sky TI and Van TI, are built on the VW Crafter chassis. For the French market the line-up includes the Sky TI 700 DEG profile with twin beds and the Van TI 640 MEG with a front lounge facing the road. Four L!VE TI models and five L!VE Wave models in Platinium Selection trim are offered on the Fiat Ducato chassis. The L!ve I integrated models have been dropped from the French catalogue. The BoxTime 600 ME van, 5.99 m long with twin beds, is available from €70,992.

Etrusco, a brand of the Hymer Group, has announced its motorhome and camper van line-up for the 2027 season. Two models join the range: the narrow coachbuilt V 6.8 SF on a 130 hp Ford Transit chassis, 6.83 m long with twin beds, and the CV 640 PB+ camper van on Fiat Ducato with an electric lift-up rear bed and a large load area. Prices start at €60,499 for the V 6.8 SF and €60,999 for the CV 640 PB+. The T Base and T coachbuilts gain lane keeping, traffic sign recognition, drowsiness alert and adaptive cruise control. The 2027 catalogue covers CV and CV+ camper vans, Vans narrow coachbuilts, T Base and T coachbuilts, A overcab models and I integrated models.

The Hymer Free 600 is a 2023 model year camper van based on the Fiat Ducato 8 with a 103 kW (140 hp) engine and a six-speed manual gearbox. The test vehicle was priced at 78,840 euros. It measures 599 cm long, 208 cm wide and 289 cm high, with four seats and four berths. The review notes high-quality interior build, easy controls and good lighting, but few built-in sockets and USB ports and no roof hatches. The manufacturer Erwin Hymer Group is a subsidiary of Thor Industries.

Unknown thieves stole a Fiat Ducato motorhome in Coswig near Dresden. The owner tracked it with a device fitted in the vehicle and Polish police recovered it about 10 km from the border.

A technical unit of Mar del Plata municipality has issued a report supporting a draft ordinance that would allow motorhomes weighing up to 3,500 kg to park during the day in coastal areas. The report was prepared by the Observatorio Vial department at the request of the city council's urban mobility committee; the draft was introduced by councillor Ricardo Liceaga Viñas. Covered vehicles include integrated, semi-integrated and alcove motorhomes and camper vans built on Mercedes Benz Sprinter, Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Jumper, Renault Master, Ford Transit and Volkswagen Crafter chassis; converted lorries and buses are excluded. The report proposes defining parking as a daytime stop with the engine off, no external furniture and no overnight stay, and suggests rules for waste water, electrical connections and drinking water supply.

Slovenian firm Tourne Campervans hand-builds the Expre camper van on a Fiat Ducato L3. Its patented Dream4 system turns the seating area into an extra bed for two children or two adults.

Police in Gütersloh are investigating the theft of a motorhome and two attempted break-ins between 27 and 30 October. Unknown suspects stole a Fiat Ducato with registration GT-N409 on Schalückstraße overnight on 29 October. Attempts were also made to force open a Weinsberg motorhome on Westfalenweg and a Sun Living motorhome on Dompfaffenstraße. Police suspect a link to a previously reported incident and ask witnesses to call 05241 869-0.

The JOA brand, launched in 2021, has been renamed JOA by Pilote and now uses a 140 hp Fiat Ducato with automatic gearbox as standard. The 2027 line-up includes two new coachbuilt motorhomes, the 75QB and 75TB, both 7.45 m long, plus three camper vans measuring between 5.41 and 6.36 m. The manufacturer keeps its focus on affordable pricing for first-time buyers.

A motorhome was stolen in Gütersloh on the morning of 29 October 2026 after it had been parked in a driveway on Virchowstrasse. The vehicle is a white Fiat Ducato with the registration GT-TK-1005. The theft was reported in the local police bulletin.

Italian manufacturer Giottiline has added the Siena 340 motorhome to its 2027 range. At 5.99 metres long, it features a U-shaped rear lounge seating six, four berths and a 645-litre garage. The maximum permissible mass is 3,500 kg, allowing it to be driven with a category B licence. It is available on Citroën Jumper, Peugeot Boxer and Fiat Ducato chassis with a 2.2-litre 140 hp diesel engine. In Spain prices start at 65,350 euros, with the Premiere Edition from 70,350 euros, VAT included.

A retired couple living in Spain has spent three years in a 1998 Fiat Ducato Maxi motorhome. The vehicle had 84,000 km on the odometer at purchase and now shows 127,000 km. According to Fernand, makers of modern motorhomes cut weight with thinner materials, which reduces build quality. The couple fixed a leak themselves over five months, avoiding a bill: exterior paint alone would have cost around 3000 euros.

Pilote has updated the P690D Evidence for 2027: a 7.02-metre low-profile motorhome without a fixed bed, with a full-width bathroom, a large height-adjustable garage and four berths.
