Tin Can Alley on 66 in Kingman, Arizona, offers overnight stays in six renovated Airstreamⓘ caravans. The site was opened a year ago by local residents Lenore Knudtson and Tim Webb. One of the caravans is a 1960 model produced in fewer than 100 units for the Southern Pacific railroad company. The initiative coincides with the Route 66 centenary and complements traditional motels.
