A weekend RV route from Atlanta into the North Georgia mountains covers Dahlonega, Helen and Tallulah Gorge State Park. The loop runs a little over 200 miles, with two nights at Unicoi State Park, where RV sites come in 30-foot and 40-foot lengths. Fall colour below 3,000 feet lasts longer than on the peaks: the Georgia Forestry Commission’s 28 October leaf report had the northeast mountains at 87% changed above that line and about half below it. Scheduled water releases at Tallulah Gorge are set for 14–15 and 21–22 November, and Helen and Dahlonega switch on holiday lights on 27 November. Admission to Anna Ruby Falls is $5 and is not covered by the Georgia State Parks pass.
