Loki has built the Prevost Loki 2026 motorhome to a bespoke order. The price is over 22 million Swedish kronor. The motorhome sleeps up to six people in three separate sleeping areas. The beds are made automatically at the push of a button. Power comes from two 10,000 W inverters and 1,800 W of roof-mounted solar panels. Windows in the bedroom and bathroom can be frosted using electrochromic glass.

A 2027 Weinsberg CaraBus 600 DQ Edition Fire motorhome is being sold in Varberg with a discount of 98,500 kronor. Dealer Varbergs Husbilar lists the price at 948,400 kronor including air conditioning in the living area and offers the vehicle for 849,900 kronor. The offer includes air conditioning valued at 39,400 kronor, leaving 59,100 kronor of the saving without it. The motorhome is built on a Fiat Ducato Maxi chassis with a 2.2-litre 140 hp diesel engine and a six-speed manual gearbox, measures 5.99 metres long and has a gross weight of 3,500 kg. The vehicle has not yet been delivered to the dealer and is advertised as incoming, with pre-orders open.

A motorhome parked under a carport caught fire in Kalix in the early hours of Wednesday. The alarm was raised at 04:22 and the rescue service sent four units. It later emerged that only a fridge in the motorhome had burned. The carport was not damaged. Police do not suspect a crime.

Swedish manufacturer Kabe raised revenue by 11% in the first nine months of 2026 and is expanding its Tenhult plant. The company has already started hiring.

Sweden registered 332 new motorhomes in October 2026 against 329 a year earlier. Over January to October motorhome registrations rose 42.6% while caravans fell 10.2%.

First Camp Group is acquiring Falsterbo Resort, Lomma Camping, Trelleborg Strand and Trelleborg Ställplats from Fritid Österlen Gruppen. Once the deal is completed, the group will operate 97 destinations in northern Europe. The seller's fifth destination, Tobisvik in Simrishamn, is not part of the transaction. The acquisition is subject to final approval by the relevant authorities, and the sites continue to operate as normal until handover in the autumn.

At 16:36 on Sunday 1 November 2026, an alert was received about a vehicle fire on the road between Älvdalen and Lillhärdal in Mora municipality. According to SOS Alarm, the vehicle was a motorhome. The fire occurred on county road 1029 between Nässjöån and Kräckelbäcken. Fire services, ambulance and police were dispatched to the scene.

Cecilia and Jörgen Skärming sold their house and possessions, bought a motorhome and set off on an eight-month trip around Europe in summer 2023. They had planned to return to a conventional home in Västerås, but after coming back they chose to continue living in the motorhome. The couple announced a new trip in October 2026.

Swedish police reported a fire in a motorhome in the Aspånäset area of Krokom municipality. The alarm was raised on Friday 30 October at 17:58. No injuries were reported. Police documented the scene and left. A report of fire without suspicion of a crime is to be filed.

Motorhome and caravan importer Bergholm Fritidsfordon reported a 6.8% rise in third-quarter 2026 revenue to SEK 124.1 million from SEK 116.2 million a year earlier. Operating profit fell to SEK 1.0 million from SEK 3.5 million, with an operating margin of 0.8% versus 3.0%. Chief executive Lars Bergholm said the Norway launch cut quarterly operating profit by about SEK 2.5 million, mainly through marketing and dealer network development. The company signed a five-year agreement with Knaus Tabbert for the Norwegian market and sees growing interest in motorhomes and caravans ahead of next season. Cash flow from operating activities rose to SEK 32.6 million from SEK 25.3 million.

A large caravan caught fire in Borensberg on Tuesday evening. The fire completely destroyed the vehicle. No further details on the cause or any casualties have been reported.

In the early hours of Monday 26 October 2026, a motorhome, a passenger car and a shed caught fire in a residential area of Huskvarna. The alarm about burning vehicles reached SOS Alarm at about 02:45, and firefighters arrived shortly before 03:00. By 03:30 the estimated time for the fire to be extinguished was set for shortly after 04:00. A police patrol was also at the scene by then. No one was injured.

A new report proposes several central locations in Gävle as suitable motorhome stopovers. It cites rising motorhome tourism across Europe and heavy pressure on existing stopovers in the city. Councillor Anders Ekman said motorhomers are a high-spending group worth attracting. He added that the sites would create value for visitors, the destination and local businesses.

Caravanhallen in Södertälje has cut the price of a 2023 Ford Transit Custom Globevan from 813,400 to 699,500 kronor, a discount of 113,900 kronor (14%). The camper sleeps four, has a pop-up roof, a 131 hp diesel engine with automatic transmission and a 70-litre fuel tank. In ADAC testing, the model was praised for comfortable sleeping spaces and good driving characteristics, but criticised for limited storage and basic camping equipment, and was deemed best suited to summer camping.

US company Plan B Trucks in 2017 converted a military truck used by the US Army in the early 1990s into an 11-metre motorhome with six-wheel drive. The 8.2-metre living section includes a kitchen with an induction hob, microwave and fridge-freezer, a U-shaped seating area, a separate lounge with a TV, sleeping places in three zones, a shower and a toilet. An 8.3-litre six-cylinder diesel produces 240 hp and 1,010 Nm; the driver can select rear-wheel or all-wheel drive and adjust tyre pressure. Nine solar panels on the roof provide power, alongside large batteries, a diesel heater, air conditioning and a 946-litre fresh water tank. The vehicle appeared in the US TV series Extreme RVs, has covered more than 35,400 km, and its engine was rebuilt in 2008. At auction on Bring a Trailer the highest bid was just over 308,000 kronor but did not meet the seller's reserve, so the motorhome remains for sale.

A caravan caught fire in a residential area in Grums, according to a caller's report to SOS Alarm. The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. Two units from the fire service were dispatched to the scene.

When buying a used caravan, technical condition matters more than a low price. Expert Lindahl states that a written damp test report must include measured values, the instrument used and the exact measurement locations. Buyers are also advised to review the service book, repair receipts and previous damage reports, and to ask the seller to explain the vehicle's systems before signing.

Lindströms Husbilar och Husvagnar is expanding at the Enköping business park. The company is adding 4,200 square metres to its existing 3,000 square metres; the new premises will include a workshop, offices, staff areas and a warehouse. The construction costs 35 million Swedish kronor including fittings and equipment. Vice President Cecilia Lindström expects final inspection at the end of October and aims to be on site in January.

The Auriga Explorer Voyager motorhome, based on a Ford Ranger, has been unveiled. The two wheels mounted at the rear about half a meter above the ground are spare wheels, not driven wheels, so the vehicle is not six-wheel drive. It measures 5.85 m long, about half a meter longer than the standard Ford Ranger, and 2.25 m tall. The interior includes a diesel stove and oven, a toilet, a folding shower cabin and sleeping space for four adults. The price has not been announced; production is due to start soon.

Swedish motorhome experts warn that improper winter storage preparation can cause frost damage and costly repairs. Stefan Janeld of Allt om husbilen says the water system must be fully drained, including the toilet valve that many owners forget, and cabinets should be left open for ventilation. Jörgen Nyström of the Swedish Caravan and Motorhome Industry Association adds that water can remain in the grey water tank, shower hose and toilet flush, and recommends following the manufacturer's manual. According to Nyström, a frozen water pump costs around 1,500 kronor to replace and a water heater around 5,500 kronor, plus diagnostic and repair costs.
