The 150,000th vehicle for the Carado brand has rolled off the line at the Capron plant in Neustadt, Saxony. The milestone model is a semi-integrated Carado T338 Edition27 based on Ford, measuring 6.99 m long, 2.32 m wide and 2.93 m high. Production in Neustadt began in November 2006; upgrades since 2014 include a second assembly line in 2015 and a third press line in 2023. According to the Federal Statistical Office, German campsites recorded around 44.7 million overnight stays in 2025, up 4.2% year-on-year and 24.9% compared with 2019.
On Sunday, 27 September, from 9:30 to 19:00, Bonometti Centrocaravan in Altavilla Vicentina holds an open day. The event follows the Salone del Camper in Parma and launches the dealership's seasonal calendar. Visitors can view 2027 caravan and camper novelties, as well as new and used vehicles from Bürstner, Carado, Etrusco, Hymer, Laika and Crosscamp. PLEINAIRCLUB members receive a 10% discount on camping and leisure accessories, excluding promotions.
The Regional Court of Feldkirch opened insolvency proceedings against Anaya Reisemobile GmbH on 15 September 2026. The company sold and rented motorhomes and caravans, repaired them, sold accessories, operated a wash facility and was a factory representative for Carado and Hymer. A restructuring procedure had already been opened in 2024 and was terminated on 3 April 2025 after a 20% restructuring plan quota was accepted. The new insolvency is attributed to failure to meet projected sales and rental figures for the 2026 high season (June to August). Liabilities amount to approximately EUR 1.2 million, with 22 creditors and 5 employees. The company agreed to closure because a positive going-concern forecast is no longer possible. Creditor claims can be filed until 27 October 2026; the examination hearing is scheduled for 9 November 2026, with attorney Dr. Bernhard Ess appointed as insolvency administrator.

Carado has introduced the CV595 4x4 X-Edition, a compact camper based on the Volkswagen Crafter. All-wheel drive and an automatic transmission are standard, but some off-road equipment, including off-road tires and a bullbar, is optional. The camper measures 5.99 m in length, 2.04 m in width, and 2.72 m in height, with two to three sleeping berths. In the Netherlands, the starting price is €114,090.
From February 8 to 12, 2024, Bader Loisirs will hold a leisure vehicle event at its new showroom in Sausheim, Haut-Rhin. The camper is powered by a 2.0 TDI engine producing 163 hp, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a rear differential lock. At 599 cm in length, it offers good maneuverability. Standard equipment includes LED headlights, digital instrumentation, a rear camera, and a multimedia system. The price in Spain is set at €93,890, excluding registration tax.

Carado has unveiled the I447, a fully integrated motorhome measuring 7.43 metres and based on the Fiat Ducato. It accommodates up to five travellers with four to five berths, including longitudinal single beds at the rear and a drop-down bed at the front. Pricing starts at 78,999 euros.
The French price list for Carado motorhomes shows a significant price gap compared to the Netherlands. The compact CV540, a 5.41-meter camper van based on the Peugeot Boxer, starts at €48,390, while the longer CV600 (5.99 m) starts at €49,390. In the Netherlands, the same models start at €66,590 and €67,890 respectively, a difference of €18,200 and €18,500. The main reason is the Dutch bpm tax (37.7% of the net catalog price plus €273 for diesel), along with differences in VAT, equipment, and transport costs. Buying in France does not exempt buyers from bpm and VAT when registering in the Netherlands.

Despite caravans being significantly cheaper to buy (e.g., Hobby OnTour at €22,160 vs. €54,799 for a Carado V337), many campers choose motorhomes for comfort, spontaneity, and mobility. Motorhomes also have advantages in taxes and parking: in Switzerland, caravans require two vignettes, and parking a caravan on the street is limited to 14 days. However, caravans remain more economical to maintain and allow the use of the car separately at the destination.
Manufacturers offer compact motorhomes from 5.99 to 6.60 meters long, which are easier to park and maneuver in urban areas. In Spain, the number of motorhomes and campervans has tripled in 10 years. Instead of a rear bedroom, it features a large bathroom with wardrobe and garage access, a convertible lounge in the middle, and an electric drop-down bed that lowers to seat cushion height. The model includes a gas kitchen with a round sink and optional Thetford oven, plus modular storage in the rear garage. Exterior color is Moondust Silver with a Ford Trail grille.
