Instead of a hotel: campsite and cabins for Wexl-Trails

A new forest campsite with 43 pitches opens in St. Corona am Wechsel, Austria, as the planned 3-star hotel project is postponed due to lack of an operator. The mountain bike resort invested €500,000 in the development. Expansion to 93 pitches and the first wooden chalets are planned for 2027–2028. Visitor numbers are boosted by a second lift and inclusion in the Gravity Card network.

After the chaos of 2014, operators upgraded infrastructure — electricity, sewage, roads. Maier denied rumors of millionaire incomes, stating profits are reinvested into the sites.

The project's initiator, innkeeper Alfons Baldinger, expressed disappointment, noting the campsite was intended as a project for his son. Earlier, residents had raised concerns about noise and increased traffic.
