Richard McDowall from Ayrshire said the caravan he rented at Wemyss Bay Holiday Park in Inverclyde was dirty and unhygienic. He paid £500 for a weekend to celebrate his daughter's 10th birthday but found holes in the walls, stains on carpets and curtains, and broken fences and cracked slabs. After complaining, the family was moved, and the park offered a full refund, which McDowall accepted. A Parkdean spokesperson acknowledged that standards were not met and said the caravan was deep cleaned after the guest's departure.
