Driver sought after crashing into motorhome in Escaleritas

National Police are searching for the driver of a van who fled after hitting a parked motorhome in Escaleritas, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The accident occurred around 1:45 a.m. on July 27 on Calle Marín y Cubas in the Las Chumberas area. The motorhome was unoccupied, so no injuries were reported, but it sustained significant damage. Witnesses described the van as a gray Renault Kangoo with a greenish tint. Debris including a mirror, headlights, and a Renault emblem was found at the scene. Police are seeking a vehicle with partial plate 7509 and visible front or right-side damage.

Sonraíz expands its fifth edition with cultural experiences, camping and campervan area

The Sonraíz festival, to be held from 18 to 20 September in Carcabuey, has announced an expanded programme of activities including workshops, tastings and guided walks. A campervan zone will be set up at La Charcuela Park and a camping area at the Municipal Park, both with security and access to showers. Free parking will be available at the football field.

Albacete unanimously approves motorhome infrastructure upgrade

The Socialist Municipal Group has secured unanimous approval from the July plenary session to modernize and expand the service area for motorhomes, caravans, and campers in Albacete. The only existing area near the university campus, with eight spaces, is overcrowded on weekends and holidays and has outdated facilities. Plans include renovating the current area on Avenida de España with shade structures, public toilets, upgraded water points, electricity, and CCTV, as well as creating a second area. Average daily spending by motorhome tourists is estimated at 170 euros, with annual revenue from this tourism reaching about one million euros.
